Dandy Exhaust. I got quoted $300 for Dump Pipe

Recommended Posts

high? You get your ass under that and do the work

think about it this way

1 - they have to wait for the car too cool down, taking workshop space

2 - someone has to spend at LEAST an hour too 2 hours making it

3 - its a business and they have to make a profit

$300 is cheap

Why not get a combo 3" dump/front pipe from batmbl for $250 all up? Its all about numbers, its very expensive to make a one off exhaust system, why not get one thats already made? Or do you have an aftermarket turbo?

this man speaks the truth

is that inclusive of installation or not?

cause from what i can tell ash it isnt stated... so chill :)

look on ebay... my mate just got a stainless one for 180 and a stainless manifold for 280... YAY EBAY!

that's including installation, yes. providing they dont run into problems or anything.

eg. drill out the bolts or watever coz of rust.

RHETT

i dont have aftermarket turbo. i already have front pipe, its just the dump pipe im getting done.

Thanks for your input guys. Greatly Appreciated.

i agree...try doing it on a 40 degree day sweating your aggots out snaping off exhuast studs and nuts with weld spatter going all over you.....people go out on the turps for a night and torch a few hundred buck trying to pick up women...then question spending it on there cars when someone wants to get paid for the time they spent working on it...i am with ash

a mate of mine at work is looking to do some mods to his 94 r33 turbo.. it has a cat back jasma exhaust runing standard cooler and standard boost..

I suggested he get a dump/front pipe and hi flow cat and boost it too 11-12psi using bleeder valve and have the work done by a reputable tuner...ie racepace...

Change of subject a bit but how much all up would we be expecting to pay for all of this work??

$500-$600??

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
