hehe thats cool. ok the graph i have at home from memory the stock one was about 6000 ish that was in km/h at 141rwkw. since mods i *think* the peak power "flat spot area" has moved down a bit towards 5000/4500 ish, maybe its too low like you said, im going off the top of my head. will post the graph tonight so you can see. the peak power comes in and it stays at that level for a bit then drops off. will post the graph after club meeting

[ rb25det dyno runs and average power "info" ]

171 rwkw with knock and running rich

172 rwkw with knock fixed and leaned out a bit

from the second graph it looks like i have more peak power a bit earlier. by more peak power i mean within 5~ rwkw of my max power of 172. So from 130km/h onto 170km/h i have around 165rwkw. here's what i mean

255/40/17 Dunlop Direzza DZ101

(From roy's calucations)

Ok so:

3,500rpm - 106km/h

4,000rpm - 121km/h

4,500rpm - 136km/h

5,000rpm - 151km/h

5,500rpm - 166km/h

6,000rpm - 181km/h

6,500rpm - 196km/h

7,000rpm - 212km/h

7,500rpm - 227km/h

You said yours makes 100rwkw at 2000. My rb25 makes 100rwkw at around 3300rpm from Roy's calculations. Go the rb30! :Phttp://http://members.dodo.com.au/paul/skylinesaustralia/172-peak-area.jpg' target='_blank'>

i dont have an exact "what rpm is 130 to 170km/h" range is so its hard to work out. i recall sydneykid showing a chart on how to calculate it, will try and find it and post up what i find

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...59&postcount=51

shows a rpm vs km/h for a gtr (should be in 4th with same diff ratio?)

my avg of around 165ish looks to be around 5000 to 6200. its a bit of an "if" and "um " and "arrr". would anyone be able to give exact figures based on diff ration in 4th

"What size tyres do you have? For example if your rears are 235/45/17s, and your run was in 3rd gear then...

  3,500rpm , 73km/h

  4,000rpm , 83km/h

  4,500rpm , 93km/h

  5,000rpm , 103km/h

  5,500rpm , 113km/h

  6,000rpm , 124km/h

  6,500rpm , 134km/h

  7,000rpm , 145km/h

  7,500rpm , 155km/h"

hi roy,

can you work this out for my car? 255/17 on the rear (sorry to hijack cubes)

Oops, edit

Ok so:

3,500rpm - 106km/h

4,000rpm - 121km/h

4,500rpm - 136km/h

5,000rpm - 151km/h

5,500rpm - 166km/h

6,000rpm - 181km/h

6,500rpm - 196km/h

7,000rpm - 212km/h

7,500rpm - 227km/h

Thats assuming your tyre has the same rolling diameter as a 255/40/17 Dunlop LM702...

    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
