i have rather locked rear end....

I should say if I stand on the brakes it put enough resistance on the diff to get it to move.

Id say its suspension tho... if the wheel is off the ground, the suspension doesnt have the travel.

its going to become handy if i wanna change the oil i guess haha..

but i dont think its the suspension the main cause.

i have cage, body's been re-enforced with many more welds, one of them do-luck bars,

its like a sea saw when you park it in the right spot..

i have full race roll cage in mine (no rear seats, sun visors etc etc). Chassis don't flex that much. (well not on our cars anyway!)

I know what Daveo is talking about my ceffie gets beached, JIC suspension and a 2way, I jack the car up from behind the front wheel and 3 wheels come off the ground!

I love my suspension on smooth roads but... our roads generally suck so its annoying at times!

It's actually a case of your chassis being VERY stiff and NOT deflecting. This is a *good* thing (I'll get back to this later).

The fact that your chassis is welded and has a bolt in roll cage means that the torsional rigidity of your car is significantly improved. Thus, it takes much more twisting motion to flex the body. An illustration of this is, when you jack a car up at one corner, the windows and doors tend not to fit quite right. However, when, if you've got your car jacked up at one corner, the doors *may* open and close properly. ie. stiff chassis = good for maintaining suspension geometry and thus handling.

The *good* thing that the wheel is in the air now... It is good because it illustrates that your chassis has been reinforced well. However, it also illustrates that your shockers, at full extension, are significantly shorter than the factory stuff (same as my car). What this means is that, the shock length is shorter and thus the 'droop' that the wheel had drop to is shorter than the original factory suspension. An example of this is when you see a 4WD with very long travel shocks / springs climbing rocks that can articulate the left front wheel entirely within a guard and the right rear wheel at full extension that leaves a wheel to guard clearance of 50-100cms (see below pic)

So all it means is that you'll lift wheels when getting into / out of driveways etc, you'll notice that Porsche GT3 RS's do it too...

So, if you've bothered to read this far, this is a good thing.

    • Hey keep the ideas coming, I'm always keen on projects! But, problem fixed!  I got a cheapie ozito scope from Bunnings and had a good look in and around the bearing and sensor hole. I couldn't see a smoking gun but the bearing looked a bit strange, especially when comparing with a new one. I thought the cover had come off the bearing magnets.  Sorry for pics of a screen, I didn't have an SD card.     Good thing I had the old one to inspect. So, given I'm like a pit crew with wheel bearings and luckily I had a spare bearing because I f**ked up my parts order, I decided to just smash it out. Got the old one out in about an hour. So much easier when the parts haven't had a chance to rust together yet. 😂 And, well, found the problem.    In the second pic at about the 8 o'clock position, you'll see what I think is the tip of the old sensor.  The new sensor has definitely been rubbing but it's all intact, just a little shiny so I'm hoping it's fine.  The car brakes perfectly now and no errors.  I think the job took about 2.5h in the end. 👍🏻 I really appreciate the help in here as usual. Thanks guys.
    • I was only looking because I saw some drops on the ground but it wasn't alot. Recently had it serviced will ask the mech to confirm. Find it strange that it looks standard though, can see in another photo of a random box
    • So...not sure if you know if that has always been there or why you went looking. It could be old damage from a clutch explosion, or even just the gearbox got dropped somewhere along the line. Basically, you should seal it up to stop oil and dust getting into the bellhousing, but it doesn't matter too much and is not structural. I'd suggest something like a glob of JB Weld. BTW what gearbox oil are you running, I would guess the breather has been spewing it everywhere.
    • Hey Duncan thanks for your reply. Sorry mate I know the photos are shit.  Took another photo for reference. Seems the casing does have a hole in it looking on the net, fluid seeping out. Added a photo
