Can you get the adaptor kits as well?? Im interested in the SSQV for my R34 but need the adaptor and plumb back kit too.

Checking on the prices of both the adaptor flanges and the plumbback kit (1421-FIT001) - it doesn't include vacuum hose.

But you can easily get a flange from Autobarn or other car parts store. If you do still want one, let me know.

/edit: I recommend the Greddy Type R though. Comes ready to plumbback without an additional adaptor.

put me down for a Greddy RS or S not sure yet, heard type r is pretty full on, for gtr's in single turbo etc init?? anyway, know of any/much diff in the other two? I think S is 37mm and rs 40mm and rs not as whistley and both can be plumbed back though rs nozzle maybe harder to get a tube on. can you confirm/ideas

S has a 37mm diameter, RS has a 40mm diameter, and R has a 47mm diameter recommended for vehicles over 300hp (stiff spring for 375hp)

Greddy RS is the newer design over the Type R and Type S. If you're not running anything crazy on your 180 I'd go the RS.

/edit: even though the type s is smaller it has the advantage of being able to be straight plumbacked no adapter... apparently greddy is making an adapter for the rs which isnt out yet but i honestly have no idea when this is going to be

Im interested

I got a fairly standard R33. But I'm changing pretty much every thing that is bolt on, ie turbo intercooler, exhaust, maybe even get it ported. What one will suite me becuase I have no idea what is what

Cheers

Hey sirsky if depends on if you want to go plumback or not otherwise i mean they are all pretty similar... just diff sizes for the greddy... also depends on the sound you want...

I'm interested in a Greddy Type RS... How hard is it to install one of these? I have an R32 Gts-t.

im installing mine on my r32 gtst and its as simple as bolting it on because i have a diamond shaped flange on my piping ... if you dont have one youd need a weld on flange which it would just bolt up to ... but any mechanic could isntall it for u

Much appreciated, let me know what prices the HKS stuff is available for. Depending on price, might take your offer and get a Type R, or even a RS.

Cheers.

found a couple of pics of the greddy ones to help me and others decide, they look like good units.

type r is chuncky compared looks industrial eh!

Do you reckon the blue nozzle on the rs is screw off? - and then another plumback adapter you mentioned screwed on? Do you reckon you could just get a pipe bit welded on even though may look a bit messy? Or even just stretch a hose over the nozzle and clamp? Kinda want the rs plumback

Type R/Type S Compare

Type RS

Hey

Thanks for putting the pics up... it could either be take off the blue part or the they might just sell an adapter which slots into it similar to what hks do for the ssqv... haha i know what your saying about the rs becuase it probably is the best looking but welding is a lot of effort to go to for plumback i would just go for the type S

gor33: as soon as we get the numbers and everyone pays the deposit

I can now confirm that I can get the HKS ssqv recirc adapter it is an additional $25 Partno :1421-FIT001

HKS34R I Pmed you... pm me bak to confirm thanks

PM replied. Just a quick question though.

When you say recirc adaptor, you mean the parts required to make the BOV plumb back, and not an adaptor to fit the BOV onto the stock piping? Assuming this is correct, where can an adaptor be bought to mount the BOV on the standard RB25 piping?? We don't have an Autobarn here in Coffs, and the nearest performance shop in on the Gold Coast.

Any ideas??

    • The title should have posted "EFR7670 exhaust housing selection RB26" I can seem to edit thr title on my Android.
    • I'm looking for some real world experiences/feed back from anyone who has personally ran a EFR7670 with a 1.05 exhaust housing or a .83 I'm leaning towards the .83 because its a street car used mostly for spirited driving in the canyons roads. I"m not looking for big numbers on paper. I want a responsive powerband that will be very linear to 8000 rpm. I dont mind if power remains somewhat flat but dont want power to drop off on top. The turbo I've purchased is a 1.05, although the mounting flange T3 vs T4 and internal vs external waste gates are different on both housings, I not concern about swapping parts or making fabrication mods to get what I want. Based on some of the research I've done with chat gpt, the 1.05 housing seems to be the way to go with slightly more lag and future proofing for more mods but recommends .83 for best response/street car setup. AI doesn't have the same emotions as real people driving a GTR so I think you guys will be able to give me better feed back 😀
    • Surely somebody has one in VIC. Have you asked at any shops?  Is this the yearly inspection or did you get a canary?
    • This is where I share pain with you, @Duncan. The move to change so many cooling system pieces to plastic is a killer! Plastic end tanks and a few plastic hose flanges on my car's fail after so little time.  Curious about the need for a bigger rad, is that just for long sessions in the summer or because the car generally needs more cooling?
    • So, that is it! It is a pretty expensive process with the ATF costing 50-100 per 5 litres, and a mechanic will probably charge plenty because they don't want to do it. Still, considering how dirty my fluid was at 120,000klm I think it would be worth doing more like every 80,000 to keep the trans happy, they are very expensive to replace. The job is not that hard if you have the specialist tools so you can save a bit of money and do it yourself!
