Well yesterday was the first day of full wet weather driving for me in my car since ive had it. (Almost 3mths)

I think in the future i might just walk/ride to work (5km).

Driving my old car i knew the limits of how hard i could push before wheels would slide and brakes would lockup. In this car (R33 GTS-T) I dont.

* 90 Degree corners are near impossible under any accelleration.

* My mats get dirty

* Pedals are slippery and squeaky (can anyone recommend a good set of legal pedals for rubber soled shoes?)

On a good note, i cant use turbo or drive fast so im saving heaps of fuel.

:D

yeh in my car you may as well be driving on ice if it comes on boost. off boost it's fine though :D You just gotta know to expect the odd step-out when going round corner's etc... and be prepared for it :)

on a side note I'm really glad the rain's arrived so that the bushfires can be put out. I'm sure the people who almost lost their homes are very thankful as well :) very good news :)

no offence meant but...

don't you think that you might be over reacting there. well, it's either that or you can't drive:rolleyes:

i found wet wether driving to be one of the more exciting things about owning a rwd. sure it's dangerous and you can slide out easy but it's damned fun

Im in both boats for this...

Jumping for a N/A car into a turbo RWD is so much different.

The driving styles are totally different... Usually u would have to

give it some gas around the corners in the N/A so not knowing

what to expect in the sky you would do the same..give it some

gas...heehhea. i bet u got a big fright benm not expecting it..

and yes it is fun in wet.. u get to know u'r tyre limits and how

you car reacts once traction breaks loose...

Exactly....

I've gone from a N/A 50kw FWD car to a Turbo 192rwkw RWD Car.

The last time their was a light shower of rain (enuff to wet the roads but not enuff for wipers) it brought all the dirt and oil to the surface and some 90 degree corners i literally slid out just turning them (w/o accelleration).

I'd love to go to a track day even just to do 5-10 laps so i can work out the limits of the steering. My old FWD car as u all would expect wasn't the best at cornering so im very cautious with the skyline.

:burnout:

During the rain i switched from the Skyline to a gutless BMW 318. lots different. you can floor it and reef it around corners (in a way that would write off your skyline) and it still wouldn't unstick. its so much fun doing it in the Line' tho. Especially trying to perfect your wet road launching technique

One other thing i've noticed: Why do people seem to tailgate even more in the wet??? it seems like the rain is a signal for every brick-headed tailgater to come out for a drive (just stay off my ass!):shake:

    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
    • Since winter isn't that harsh anymore in Poland, i will definetely drive it 365 days a year 😉. But if the snow hits i will try it for sure and let U know. Only swap i am planning to do is of course R34 GTR front 😍.
    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
