I've just had my car wheels balanced to find that all 4 are buckled. It was shaking at around 100kms so that's what prompted me to get them checked.

Now I'm on the lookout for new wheels.

Here is a pic of the car:

Something around 17". I have 18s now and the tyres cost a fair bit more.

What sort suit the r33 gtst (wine red) best? I'd like to stay away from chrome too. Takes to long to clean them. Also would like something fairly light, these chromies were bloody heavy!

What shops have decent prices?

I'd like to get them from somewhere like bob jane's where I can pay them off over 12 months but I don't think they have the brands I will be after.

Ideas? Suggestions? Don't worry about cost for now, just want to see whats out there.

:/

Been looking for similar information myself Jaff, but for a HR32 GTS-t. You will find that most of the local pplaces like Bob Jane, Beaurepairs, Hancook have all pretty much the same thing and very hard to get a wheel with the right offset for the skyline with a 5 stud pattern. Not impossible by any means but limits your options. If you ask me ou can't go past some of the import wheels that come from Japan. Im looking at getting a set from thre myself and have a few pics if you want i can forward them onto you?

Good luck with find new rims :P

hey mate,

i've recently ordered up some new 18in work rims thru japtuner, who is a sponsor on this site. should be receiving them pretty soon so will let you know how it all goes.

also would recommend talking to j-plus who imports rims from japan, top bloke -

http://www.j-plus.com.au/

with the limited choice using 4x 114.3 with a less than 35 offset these were some of the best i've come across next to custom simmons or something.. all that said the P1 1's i have were half the price of the 2's very light and still look sweet.

    • You still want a proper tune on the stock ECU though. Stock tune + stock ECU with GT-SS/-9s is probably playing with fire if you're running more than stock airflow/power.

    • Definitely a hearty eater when we go out, I consider these meals my cheat day as I've been watching my calories in and calories out pretty hard since my little fun size stroke, I've gone from a fat boy of 89 Kg, I'm only 165cm tall/short, down to a almost semi lean 73 Kg over the last few years, I'm currently around 17% body fat which my doctor is very happy with, but, my goal is to slowly get down to and maintain 15%,so yeah, I want all of the protein, carbs, fats and sugars when I go out for a binge
    • There was a great one on Victoria Rd in Gladesville too back in the day. I can only assume GTSBoy is thinking of the mill up on the wollondilly, no restaurant there any more but they have restored the original steam engine on site and run it every few months, have an annual steampunk festival etc @The Bogan, you came to the wrong town for restaurants. we have a few reasonable asian and indian options but the Paragon is as good as it gets otherwise. That brewery is apparently just opened, been meaning to give it a go some time. The Highlands have plenty of fancy options but I suspect you are more a hearty eater than fancy eater
