a 33's not illegal.... if the R32 gts-t's are legal to drive coz of there power to weight then the 33's gotta be under..... coz the 33's are shitloads heavier than 32's.... i was informed that the 33's are 120kw's ( approx dont know exact figure ) to a tonne..... therefore its under, since the limit a p plater can drive is 125 to a tonne......

I've got a gtst that's slightly modified and I've never had any trouble with the police. BUT a friend of mine got his gtst imported and he had trouble getting it roadworthied as they didn't like his stock blow off! So... I guess the point of this ramble is that if you drive reasonably well and don't have too ostentatious and noisy a car, then you'll be fine (and also if you don't come across a cop on a bad hair day). However, insurance is and will no matter which you choose be a bitch.

And don't forget, it was a ****y P plater in a GTR that lost control and killed his friends so everyone be careful!

Also! Does anyone have a bodykit/front bar for a r32 sedan?

are you talking about the "EVLGTR" crash last yr??? coz that wasnt that kids GTR, it was his dads.

C'mon, he wanted to know what best he could do, and remain at least reasonably on the right side of the law. Why not confine our comments to that.  I, personally don't agree with what I believe to be over restrictive and overregulated approaches to traffic and vehicle matters -- If I want to take risks with that or push the limits, that's up to me and for me, and I wear any consequences.     Does'nt mean I should give bad advice to someone else. Neither should anyone else.   There, Ive had my winge for the day.

"If I want to take risks with that or push the limits, that's up to me and for me, and I wear any consequences"

I'm sorry, but i had to say something to this. Are you f*kn serious?>

If an idiot like u takes risks on the road and kills my kid sister or my mate, YOU may wear the consequences but I LIVE WITH THE LOSS

Sorry, but can you really be so ignorant?

I like keep my head low, but a comment like this cannot be let go.

Smarten up mate

yeah true, if you wanna take risks dont do it on public roads, do it on the drag strip or track.... thats what there there for, or go to a road in an industrial park or somewhere where there isnt people you can harm by you "taking risks". i've lost 2 mates to other peoples stupidity on the roads..... trust me, if you have to deal with it one day, and pray you dont, it isnt a good feeling, and you hope to god you dont ever see the people that killed your freinds for fear of what you might do to them, if you wanna be one of those people...... thats up to you.

since were on the topic of P Plater legal

i was wondering if a stock R33 GTS (non-turbo) is legal to drive on P's?

as there is uncertainty around the Turbo version of this car...

im taking a pot shot guess and saying it is??

.I don't speed and I don't drive like a **** jockey...

Then why is your car damaged with over 6grand of damage? Kind of wrecking yourself there since u did admit to driving like a knob jockey after :)

well if thats the case my cars illegal..... but i had to put in an insurance claim after my accident ( sum lady in a government car hit me ), and i didnt have problems with it.....

of course you wouldnt.

you werent making the claim.

She was so they dont care about you, they only care about her

    • There are black hose clamps as well if you care. Plazmaman for example sells some: https://plazmaman.com/product/black-hose-clamps-premium-quality-stainless-breeze/
    • After using a protractor for an actually accurate assessment of what is required,  and by NOT using my uncalibrated eyeball I worked out I need a 25° silicone bend from the TB ro the MAF, but, my choice was either a 30° or a 23° (23° is a weird spec), so I grabbed the 23° one from Raceworks I also grabbed 1mtr of 3" straight from Just Jap, I needed 350mm, but they only had 300mm, or 1mtr lengths....meh Also ordered a 1/2" hose bulkhead fitting from fleabay, this has a smoothish mushroom looking head (they are designed for below the water line of boats) that will fit inside the bend, the hose bit and threaded bit looks to long, but nothing that a hacksaw cannot fix if required, the hose will then just get jamed on the threaded bit up to the retaining nut Fingers crossed and the unsightly amount of hose clamps will be reduced down to 4 once all the parts arrive
    • Oil change does not trigger code 21. Code 21 is for coilpacks primary side connection. You can try to clear the code with a battery disconnect, hold down the brake pedal to drain capacitors through the brake lights with the ignition on for 10-15 seconds before you reconnect the battery. I have seen R35 coil conversion permanently cause this code with no ill effects so it might be the resistance it wants to see isn't quite right on one or more coilpacks. Could be inside the ECU, could be the harness, could be a coil. You can test it all if you want or just ignore until the car actually starts misfiring.
    • I forgot you have a Nistune ECU. Use Nistune to do all the tests I mentioned instead of faffing with 30+ year old electrical connectors. You can read MAF volts off that too, there are reference values in the service manual to tell you roughly what it should be in different conditions.
