there are a few about... on sheperton road on the causeway there are a couple modded ones and stock ones for sale..

go down and check em out :D sooo nice.. there is an off white one for sale and its sooo nice :(

there is a stagea forum on the SAU forums too, they also have a spotted thread etc.

They are nice cars, but the stock auto ones are pretty slow and VERY boat-ish.

I've yet to drive the Autech 260RS, but hopefully I will one day :(

I can give you a rough estimate on numbers... AutoWholesale are the only WA yard that is a RAW for Stageas, and they have bought in and complied and sold 28 so far. Plus there's another 4 or so that I know of (including mine) bought in from Eastern States... so Id estimate somewhere between 35 and 40 Stageas driving around in WA. Doesnt seem that many though coz I hardly ever see them out and about.

Have driven the 260RS at Autowholesale - very nice - but still very choked up due to emissions compliance - 2 x cats and 4 x pre-cats... so 3" it straight through, a few other basic mods and a bit of boost and they chirp all 4 tyres. For those that werent aware - Autowholesale this week knocked $10,000 of the price of that 260RS to get it out of the yard - so now $39,990 - not bad for GTR lovers with families or who dont want the attention a GTR gets - a 1997 4 door GTR for $40g - and talk about a sleeper!

And the standard RSFours are certainly heavy in stock form - but 1998 onwards came in manual or tiptronic - but with some similar mods as you'd do to a sedan Line and they can be alot of fun too... a few Stageas around oz at 250rwkw... and one in NZ running low 11 second runs :(

:P

it was white and the dude has a ladder strapped to the top of it.

steve

hahaha yeah he flew past me on joondalup drive a while back

i though "wtf, a ladder?" lol

saw one in the carpark at st john of god hospital in subi last friday

i got one too, its RB26VL with new username, as old one stuffed up and wouldnt let me login anymore.

anyways im amazed there is 40 in perth, ive seen 2 others besides mine so far since last november when i got mine.

manual and rb26 is heaps nicer than the auto 25's :headspin: little bit of a rougher ride, but more fun

ill be on some cruises soon, and prolly at the upcoming dyno day at hyperdrive

cheers

Brad

    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
