15.5 ?? haha no, i think your right the 33 does do like a 14.4 and the 32 does like a 14.6 or something. I agree the 32 feels like it needs a bit of a torque upgrade which you can get by using the money u save (in buying one over a 33) to put an rb25 in.

The light weight and handling of a 32 with the power and torque of a 33...

The R33 is more practical, faster, cheaper to make more power, an interior that doesnt look like a Holden Commodore VN (R32 interior). All together its a newer car, less things will go bang on it. So it spends more time on the road and less in a garage.

The interior comment is the onl thing you said that holds any water.

No-one has proved conclusively that the R33 is faster then the R32. They are identical or at the best R32 is a little quicker.

It surprises me that so many of your comments were rather stereo typical.

I think the R32 appeals more to people that have migrated from S13s and still want a nimble smaller car whereas the R33 appeals to people who want something more practical (and butt ugly :D)

The R33 dash is far better then the R32 but the exterior looks like a taxi imo.

Hahahha don't trust what you see on those jap race videos, i think they are rigged like wrestling!!! If that episode talks about a certain car, most of the time that car will be the fastest.!!! and don't believe everything u see on the net hahaha

http://www.importforums.com/information.htm - this was the first link that came up... im sure there are many others. I never really beleive mags and stuff but the point is that most places that give you specified times will always place the 32 and 33 very close.

The point is why would you pay more for a car that most people think looks worse, handles worse, less fun to drive and the tiniest bit quicker over a quarter mile...

unless of course your not most people and prefer the 33 in most respects. In that case then definately go the 33 !

Well, as an R33 (GTS-T) owner, I'll try to be as unbiased as possible here.

When I was deciding which car to buy I was looking into S13 180SX (I came 24hours too late for a beautiful white 1996 180SX, FFS - BRIDE SEATS!), the R32 and R33s. Apart from liking the R33s looks - though I also like the R32s - I couldn't justify putting the 18k or so down on a 1990 model car when I could pay roughly the same for a much newer 1996 model. Now, I know the age doesn't determine everything with a car and it's possible that I could pickup a 1996 peice of shit when I could have collected a well looked after 1990 model. But, being me (IE, not exactly a mechanic), I sure as hell wouldn't want to be forking out $$$ to fix broken gear-boxes etc. So, when I continued to see 1990 R32s with 80,000kms and 1996 models with 80,000kms I made sure I stayed well clear of them.

Other than that, I like the interior of the S2 R33s, the additional features - dual air bags. On top of that, the handling isn't bad - perhaps not as good as the nimbler R32s, and the R33s are faster - ever so slightly. So, all in all, both seemingly in the same price bracket, the R33 offers (for me atleast) and far more complete package.
