http://members.optusnet.com.au/darrchan/Ce...Ceffy/Ceffy.jpg

She's sexy, she purrs nicely, she gets nasty when i drive her hard..

One question if anyone knows, how da hell do u take da MOMO Boss Kit off?

It's one of these..

http://members.optusnet.com.au/darr...fy/boss_kit.jpg

The problem is that when driving straight, the steering wheel either points 45 degrees left or right.

Can't adjust with the 6 screws cos it'll just point 45 degrees left or right..

Don't think wheel alignment is the problem cos it doesn't pull left or right when driving straight.

I unscrew the 6 lil bolts on the steering wheel..

Disconnect the plugs for the horn..

Unscrew the big mutha of bolts in the middle..

But the big black metal thing still won't come off..?

I belive that is the upspec interior? I have the same stuff, its heaps nicer!

Looks pretty clean man, should enjoy it heaps.

all the mods are pretty much just what u see..

no aftermarket turbo.

well spotted.. that IS rust on the driver's side door.

but that has now been repaired and passed Regency after 2nd inspection.

coming from an understeering FWD Turbo Laser to this will be a whole new world...

can ya'll tell me if u come across an Online instruction manual or sumthin for a MOMO Boss Kit?

Hey DC......nice ride dude! Another cefiro to grace the land of Oz.

Just noticed a couple of things......i think u got the same rims as mine...( see pic below ) urs 4 stud? Also as i insepected mine today, i noticed something...being that most cefiros, have had a auto - manual conversion such as mine and urs......there are those 2 buttons on the center console, 1 for the aerial and 2nd for the automatic power selection ie power/normal/snow. You can see them in your interior pic, just to the left of the handbrake.

Obviously this 'power' button is useless, dduuurrrrr, but was wondering if anyone knows where the wiring runs to as the button could come in useful for other applications......boost, fogs, omg NEONS...fully......lol etc.

BTW DC does ur electric aerial button work?? lol mine doesnt ahahaha

anyways......top stuff!!

hrmm.. lookin thru my window at work now.. nup. can't see how many studs the wheels are.

i know they're SSR ones..

only got it last night so haven't looked thru the car thoroughly.

my aerial up/down thing works, but only when u switch the radio on the headunit on/off.

the switch doesn't work.

but some fcker bent the top section of that retractable antenna.. maybe i can bent it back so it fully retracts again..?

in regards to that power selection button, i say... 'Eh??'

i've seen it, haven't chked it out yet..

gonna wash the dirty bitch tonight and look at it closer..

muh wheel's are 4stud.

also just noticed the centre caps are missin!!

and thx for the tips on taking the boss kit off, a mechanic told me exactly the same - to use the steering wheel to pull it off. and i have to wind the seat back cos u sometimes have to pull so hard that ya go flying back..

DC - Yeah man thought so...i have exact same SSR wheels 4 stud on my cefiro......looks like u'll be up for the GTS-T converstion aswell BAH!!!

As for the center cap......i dont know if they ever were supposed to come with any........don't quote me on that thou! The center thing is quite ugly.......got like a cerated tooth looking tubeular thingy...lol...great description.....

make sure you put the nut back on slightly before you start pulling at the wheel....have seen guys rushed off to hospital due to a steering wheel to the face...

nice car by the way...

cheers

Haha I forgot to tell him the most important part Linton!

yea, that's right.. i would've been driving it at Mawson Lakes.. i work there!! =D

haha.. u guys have obviously taken steering wheels off before.. my mechanic friend said exactly the same thing - put the big nut back on slightly..

but i still can pry the b1tch off..

oh well.. i'm going overseas on holiday tomorrow, have to start learning to drift when i get back..

hey i saw that car on all the import sites it looks very nicely modded not too thrashed either!

you both have SSR full reverse / formula mesh rims, they are worth a lot of money, not sure if they are still in production

one day i want to buy a set of SSR SP-1 rims, they are drool tastic,

and if that's the upspec interior, i have it too! i have the most pimped out factory ceffy in australia i beginning to think

upspec interior

front lip (nobody else has my lip!)

hehehehehe

    • New CAS just turned up from NZ Wiring. Looks like a nice bit of gear.  So, yeah. Triggered, bro. Realised I may as well do the cam belt while mucking about with it so will order one of them.
    • Even more fun, leave all the ADAS stuff plugged in, but in different locations, hopefully avoid any codes!   And honestly, all these new cars with their weird electronics. Pull all the electronics out Duncan, and just shove an aftermarket ECU and if needed a trans controller in, along with a PDM. Make it run basic but race car styled!
    • To follow up a question from earlier too since I had the front bar off again (fking!) This is what is between the bumper and the drivers side wheel And this is the navigator side, only one thing but its a biggy! So basically....no putting coolers in the wheel arches without a lot of moving other stuff. Assuming I move to properly race prepping this car I'll take that job on and see how the computers respond to removing a whole bunch of ADAS modules
    • So I prepped the car for another track day on Wednesday (will be interesting to see coolant temps post flushing out and the larger reservoir, with a forecast of 3-14 being 20o cooler than last time I took it out). Couple of things to mention; since I am just driving the car and not taking a support vehicle, I took the rear seats out and just loaded the back up Team Trackday style. Look at all that space! To cover off removing the rear seat....it is weird (note the hybrid is probably different because it wouldn't have folding rear seats) Basically, you remove the lower seat base, very similar to a r series but it is a clip that pulls forward to release the base rather than it being bolted down. Easy Then, you need to remove the side section of the rear seat on each side. There is a 14mm head nut at the bottom of the side piece, the it slides upwards off a hook at the top to release; you also need to unhook the seatbelt from the loop at the top. Then the centre piece is weird. You need to release/fold the seats forward with the tab in the boot on each side From there, there are 2,x12mm headed bolts holding the rear of each seat to the folding bracket, under the trim between the rear seat and the boot (4x christmas tree clips there, they suck). The seat is out but you can see where the bolts attach to the bracket
    • As discussed in the previous post, the bushes in the 110 needed replacing. I took this opportunity to replace the castor bushes, the front lower control arm, lower the car and get the alignment dialled in with new tyres. I took it down to Alignment Motorsports on the GC to get this work done and also get more out of the Shockworks as I felt like I wasn't getting the full use out of them.  To cut a very long story short, it ended up being the case the passenger side castor arm wouldn't accept the brand new bush as the sleeve had worn badly enough to the point you could push the new bush in by hand and completely through. Trying a pair of TRD bushes didn't fix the issue either (I had originally gone with Hardrace bushes). We needed to urgently source another castor arm, and thankfully this was sourced and the guys at the shop worked on my car until 7pm on a Saturday to get everything done. The car rides a lot nicer now with the suspension dialled in properly. Lowered the car a little as well to suit the lower profile front tyres, and just bring the car down generally. Eternally thankful for the guys down at the shop to get the car sorted, we both pulled big favours from our contacts to get it done on the Saturday.  Also plugged in the new Stedi foglights into the S15, and even from a quick test in the garage I'm keen to see how they look out on the road. I had some concerns about the length of the LED body and whether it'd fit in the foglight housing but it's fine.  I've got a small window coming up next month where I'll likely get a little paint work done on the 110 to remove the rear wing, add a boot wing and roof wing, get the side skirt fixed up and colour match the little panel on the tail lights so that I can install some badges that I've kept in storage. I'm also tempted to put in a new pair of headlights on the 110.  Until then, here's some more pictures from Easter this year.
