3rd teir inspection tomorrow

I have my 3rd teir inspection tomorrow and I am alittle worried

Has anyone else done one?? Its at the RTA vehicle identification check place.... not the pits....

Does anyone know what happens, etc???

Yep basically they check your car isn;t a number job, check the compliancer put the plates on and the VIN number if needed one. They do't really do any mecahnical checks that I'm aware of but they check some of the basic compliance work.

I know 2 people that have passed it without having changed their tyres even .... if you've done compliance you'll be fine mate.

Yeah I have done compliance And the compliance plate is already attached

I haven't changed the tyres but the compliancer said they will be fine They are bridgestones

i got done there for tinted windows, boost gauge, and almost exhaust to loud.

had to take it away and have tint of and boost gauge of after 3 permits i got the plates

id check my arse

its all just luck

being a new years eve job i think they will just sign the papers and get you out of there cause they want to go home

if your compliancer has done his job you dont have anything to worry about

Tinted windows are fine as long as they have the ADR sticker (the one that says "T35" or whatever you got). If they were done in Japan, you may need to remove the tint and get them redone, because apparently the Japanese tint isn't up to the stringent standards of our ADRs

What was wrong with the boost guage? Did it impede vision?

What I don't under stand is how a indentification inspecation can turn into a "defect station'

Oh well I guess I will find out what happens in 3 1/2 hours time
