hahaha... girls club..

will the club house be a tree house?

how old are you? 8?

let's go make a "boyz club"

no gurlz allowed.

yuck!!

I assure you, "MOST" of us guys don't have coodies and you will not catch anything by being on the same forum, same meets, same events as us.

I think perhaps you've read one too many baby sitters club books.

I know I shouldn't whore threads, but that's funny.

Its good to hear feedback. Whether the name is gay or not

i'm willing to go all the way. It won't be easy and yes, you will

get your ups & downs in a club. Especially as girls are bitches

hence the abbreviated initials P.M.S, lol...

As for members, I've got a good number of girls that are close

friends who are willing & more then happy to go along with this.

A couple of girls from the chicks cruise I organised are a

good bunch and I have their support in this. I'm not looking to

make this club competetive in any sort but a way to just get a

good gathering of girls who are passionate about cars & enjoy

socialising, cruising etc.

When it becomes more serious, then I would look ahead into

Autosalons, Show & Shines etc. But at the moment I want to

recruit, promote the club's name, see how many girls interested

and so forth...

I don't want this being the typical girls club being show ponies in

front of guys. Members have to be in it for the love of cars. If this

doesn't work at least I know I've tried...and if I get negative feedback

it makes me want to work harder at bringing this club into place.

Cheers!

whats what i would be afraid of!!!! most girls i've seen around 'appear' to be in it only to show off for the boys! but then i don't know them... and what they are thinking!! they could be genuine! :D

Good luck with it all though! :( i'll hopefully see you at some of the events etc! :(

Sorry, but noones replied to my question will i be able to join if i wear dresses and makeup?? Not much of a cross dresser but if theres some funky girl stuff goin on in this club i'm willing to learn.

Stace has a good point though (not that i really care if there's all girls clubs), Would you girls be offended if we started an all boys club and you weren't allowed to join at all?? Once again, it doesn't bother me in the slightest but just an interesting thought (don't think many guys will be lining up to join the PMS CLub....well...except me...)

Anyway GO PMS!!!!! :D

lol, didn't think you we're serious mate! anyway, i get a lot of guys

asking that same question? its more comfortable being in a group

with girls then guys. in addition, guys tend to know more about cars.

unless you've studied well. anyway, back to my point. when guys &

girls mend together you kinda get the "im a hoe scene" or "look at

me im a sick c**t which is the scenario majority of the time. at least

with girls you don't have to get competetive coz' everyone is basically

at the same level.

i go out on cruises with my husband and his friends and the

competiton with guys & their cars is like....i know i've seen it in action.

guys always dissing someone with a better car & yeah...its not always

the case but i can always count the girls to do everything in a safe

matter. thats pretty much my reason with just an all girls thang.

In Dori Princess' defence, there have been occasions in the past where some blokes have behaved in a way which suggests SAU/ people associated with the club do not treat female owners/ enthusiasts the same way they do blokes.

Case in point- one of my first SAU events, one guy went around the circle of people there, shook hands, introduced himself, got to me, gave me a quick glance without saying a word, and moved on to the bloke standing next to me.

You can imagine how welcome that made me feel!

Before everyone jumps down my throat, I'll stress it's a very small MINORITY, but still there.

Plus some of the general comments thrown around the forum, like the (yawn) chick driving a Skyline- her bloke must have lost his licence line, along with the "would you hit this chick" threads do not necessarily set a good impression, particularly if you don't know the people involved.

Kel

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAA... i haven't seen that pic in ages!!!!!! nice one ed! :)

and :werd: kel.... agree.. i hate when they won't friggin shake hands cause they think you're just some girl hanging on their bfs arm bored at all the car stuff around her! it makes me mad!!!!!! :\

Look, I only told Mona to get back in the Kitchen and make me some pie ONCE.

and that should have been enough..

but no...

I am still without PIE..

    • What 1.5 way? There's no such thing really as a 1.5 way, just different ways of explaining 2 ways with different ramp rates. HOWEVER. In any driving in a straight line your 1.5 or 2 or 1.7 way should have no clunking at all. With the clutch fully depressed the diff should be silent (unless it's welded but I'm assuming it's not). Something aint right here.
    • Clutch is a spec brand, new clutch system,( PP, flywheel, friction disc, etc. pull type) installed 100 miles ago, with no problems.
    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
