i was look'n through cars guide and others on the net and came across a fair few n/a r32,r33s for as low as 8grand.lots of them say very good cond and low ks.so would there be anything wrong with these or is it about the right price?

at the moment i've got an n13 pulsar and just purchased a cannon for it.i'm only gunna do the cannon cos it's a waste do'n other mods 2 it cos i will hopefully b get'n a 32 or 33 n/a.

what engine is in ur n13?

u can buy a turbo upgrade motor, as one of my friends thought about this, getting a u12 or u13 engine, and whacking it in, about 1800 for engine, ecu turbo, everything minus the intercooler. If its a sr20 powered n13, do some mods to it, and being a lighter car should whip those n/a's a good view of ur ass ...

my n13 only has the small 1.6 so i'm not sure about mod'n it to much cos all the money that would be put into it i could use get'n something bigger like an r32,33 maybe.

But the cannon i got put on it sounds pretty sweet cos it sounds like i had a cat back exh done.

well get the engine swap done, 2 litre turbo, zoom zoom, oh hang on thats mazda hehehe.

depends on the condition of the car tho, and all that stuff, a skyline may just be the next stepping stone. Any reason your looking around at a n/a line ?

yep the r32 and 33 prices seem to be coming down . so many probably thousands been imported . i figure supply is getting greater than demand . also some have been here a while and have had the bejesus flogged out of them by now ( nanas dont buy em ) .

your too right mate. Definatley a buyers market out there. Alot of people buy the NA 'lines and then move on to bigger and better things. But you would be hard pressed to find a NA skyline that hasnt been flogged BUT thats not to say that there is anything wrong with them. Damn RB's are nearly bulletproof.

Not all the 32's and 33's in this price range are bad. I bought this cheapo skyline at the start of the year and it has been pretty well problem free (touch wood), other than a flat battery when it was delivered and the A/F Ratio being a bit out of wack (fixed with a quick tune up). With prices so low how can you afford NOT to buy yourself a skyline?!?!?! Good luck to you whichever path you choose.

Cheers all

    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
