Sounds like a plan Stan....... I'm in! Any day over the w/end is good for me.

As for location, I am pretty useless with areas out Parra way being from the 'North Side' aswell.

But BBQ sounds great!

LETS MAKE THIS ONE WORK!!!!

yea im keen ....wish it could be alittle later ....so i can show off my new wheels ...that hopefully will be here early sept but ohwell .....

wouldnt mind a drive(as a passenger in some ones ceffy that has coilovers ...just to give me an idea of how hard they are...

but yea sats are fine with me ...im on the northshore ....i dont know any parks near silverwater ..or parra ......i suppose lanecove nat park (fee for parking but no entry fee) i can check on how much it is ....it has heaps of places to have a bbq and park cars

How about the 20th or 21st?

we dont really have to do much. just get in the car and drive there!

I like lane cave national park idea. Would you mind finding out about it Resin?

sounds like a nice quiet place.

Lane Cove National Park is a great idea!

Easy access and to find. 5 mins from Epping Rd, Ryde Rd or Pacific Hwy.

20th or 21st good for me. Maybe a push for Sunday, normally easiest as people are normally up to something on a Saturday...

In the next two weeks... damn... Im flyinmg to japan on sunday 14th and I won't be back till about the 1st.

I need some dori time over there not to mention smuggling back some bits and pieces.

But I do like the idea!

There is always Lake Parramatta. Its pretty secluded, free entry and there are bbqs etc. Its off James Rouse Drive. You get to it via Pennant Hills road.

And yeah i'm down for 20th or 21st. Sundays are better though as I usually have house chores and stuff to do on saturdays.

20th aint good for me either...lets meet at homebush...carpark near superdome, across the road from 6c...and then there's bbqs in the bi-centenial (spelling??) park in homebush...really nice area, lots of space and parking...kinda closer than lancove for the westsiders :P how about the week after...gives me a bit more time to get the car sorted too :)

so somebody is gonig to miss out if we make it on the 20th or 21st :P

that always happens.

any prefrences between lane cave and home bush?

we can find a bbq at lanecove so dont worry about that.

Well what happens if we delay it a week or 2? Either the 27th, 28th or if we want to wait for everyone make it, try the 3rd , 4th of Sep?

I am not fussed, if any preferences, I would rather hold of till the later w/ends......gives plenty of time for everyone to lock in to the diaries.

Location, not fussed.

    • You Gregged a whole racetrack!?
    • Look for broken wire or bad connector at the motor. Might not be it, but is worth starting there, as it is easy.
    • Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my R32 GT-R. Sometimes, when the car goes over a bump or experiences some vibration, the 4WD warning light comes on the dashboard. When I check the code from the control unit in the trunk, it shows Code 19 – ETS Motor. However, everything seems to be working fine — if I turn off the engine and restart the car, the light goes away and everything functions normally. Has anyone experienced this before? Where should I start troubleshooting this issue? Thanks in advance!
    • I'm back from the dyno - again! I went looking for someone who knew LS's and had a roller dyno, to see how it shaped up compared to everything else and confirm the powerband really is peaking where Mr Mamo says it should. TLDR: The dyno result I got this time definitely had the shape of how it feels on the road and finally 'makes sense'. Also we had a bit more time to play with timing on the dyno, it turns out the common practice in LS is to lower the timing around peak torque and restore it to max after. So given a car was on the dyno and mostly dialled in already, it was time for tweaking. Luis at APS is definitely knowledgable when it came to this and had overlays ready to go and was happy to share. If you map out your cylinder airmass you start seeing graphs that look a LOT like the engine's torque curve. The good thing also is if you map out your timing curve when you're avoiding knock... this curve very much looks like the inverse of the airmass curve. The result? Well it's another 10.7kw/14hp kw from where I drove it in at. Pretty much everywhere, too. As to how much this car actually makes in Hub Dyno numbers, American Dyno numbers, or Mainline dyno numbers, I say I don't know and it's gone up ~25kw since I started tinkering lol. It IS interesting how the shorter ratio gears I have aren't scaled right on this dyno - 6840RPM is 199KMH, not 175KMH. I have also seen other printouts here with cars with less mods at much higher "kmh" for their RPM due Commodores having 3.45's or longer (!) rear diff ratios maxing out 4th gear which is the 1:1 gear on the T56. Does this matter? No, not really. The real answer is go to the strip and see what it traps, but: I guess I should have gone last Sunday...
