Do I Need To Reset My Ecu?? (o2 Sensor)

Hi guys,

I was just wondering whether it is necessary to reset the ecu after changing the 02 sensor? I have a SAFC onboard and its been tuned and im just worried that i might need to reset the ecu and if so will that effect my tuning?

I didnt reset mine when I did it but noticed a distinct improvement in soot (none) fuel economy (up) the o2 works on steady cruise, so if you drive around town alot it will take longer to notice.
