Hey,

Just wanted to invite everyone to our new forum at www.jdmoc.com! We just launched a few days ago and it's already growing very quickly.

I created it based on the fact that there doesn't seem to be a worldwide JDM community on the internet to talk about general issues and all types of cars and parts from Japan.

Anyways, back to preparing for my frist drag racing event with the GTR tomorrow, wish me luck!

See you around,

Ryan

hehe Chris, the canoodle guys can only import 15 year old cars, which means they have to wait a while for R33's and R34's.

as for a forum for worldwide JDM tyteness... Australia's got www.jdmstyletuning.com already, which is basically a mishmash of drifters and honda owners and shutter bugs (in a good way :)). Most of the guys here prefer to stick to their niche forums, as we aren't really big on the wanting to be JDM tyte over here like in the US. So I dunno how successful your forum's gonna be as far as aussies go, but all the best.

I'll still sign up n say hi :D

No worries, I don't expect it to be huge, but it's nice to have one central place.

I may be speaking with you about getting another car shortly as well. :)

Cheers.

edit: Also guys post or link me to some of your best skyline meet pics if you could! I'm updating the banner so it'll rotate shortly.

Welcome to SAU Ryan, someone may have a link handy of our recent Show and Shine event here in Sydney at which we had a touch under 100 skylines entered with everything from the DR30 to modified R34 GTR's. - There are some excellent pictures floating around from that event

Nick

krzysiu, shh don't make fun  i have a countdown of all the jap cars we can import shortly, sitting on my desktop haha

definatly let me know of any pics from large meets, i'm getting a couple from the fd and supra guys and want to make a rotating banner out of them all

thanks for the kind words though! :D

you need skylines and some sunshine and beaches like we have over here though...

like:

414beachfront2.jpg

and one of our meets at the Australian F1GP track...

Australia... sand... sunshine... skylines. Nowhere else in the world will you find all of this in abundance :)

    • Ok thanks..that was my second question if i can somehow bypass this even with Nistune(that is all i have right now...aparat from stock ECU. So with some aftemarket it can by "bypassed" or make it work?  I know there is Link or Haltech (mainly used). We have ECUmaster here so i will gather some info about it.
    • Yes. You will need to get the original boost sensor and wire it in. That is.... if you plan to use a stock ECU - even a Nistuned ECU. The Nissan ECU will not operate correctly without it connected. And yes, it will do annoying stuff like you are experiencing. You will almost certainly be better off with some aftermarket ECU, than trying to hunt down rare sensors.
    • Ok so ABS/TCS is "not" the problem. Yeah i know now about the ABS with Nistune(i told that to the Nistune guy) but iam not 100% why or why i dont have ABS. ABS cube is in the engine (always has been) but i had braked couple of times rly hard and brakes just locked and scream. Does all Skylines have ABS cube? That boost sensor https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/367633-wtb-r34-gtt-turbo-pressure-sensor-pics-inside/ Is this it? I need to ask but i have a picture of engine bay and i do not see that (100% is not in that place) If i do not have this the car can do what mine is?(cutting around 4000 rpm) Here is the pic of my engine bay(only one i have) BUT i think i dont have that cuz loom was used from my RB20DE NEO and i know (obviously) that it does not have boost control or any wire to that...) so maybe that is the problem? (i dont know for 100% if that car where the engine is from had that)...but i dont have the loom from that
    • I'm with you here. It's either loom has an issue, OR, injectors are not functioning properly. It could even be they're just constantly dribbling, hence the wet, but not firing.
