Hey all,

On my way to exam today and was pacing myself. I hit boost and weaved through some cars (SAFELY) to suddenly notice a cop pointing a radar at me. I don't know what speed I was doing, but i get the feeling I was a little bit over by the time he would have read my speed.

I wasn't pulled over or anything, does that mean I got away with it, or does it mean that I will get a ticket in the mail sometime soon?

Any past experiences or knowledge would be much appreciated so I don't have this cloud hanging over my head all weekend.

Kind Regards,

Joel

I had an unfortunate experience when i was travelling along a main road:

Came out of a long slip way and could see that traffic was coming so I thought may as well speed up a bit... was doing 75 or so as I came onto the main road and as I continued up traffic slowed - and then I noticed the fagman in blue holding something.

It was a 2 lane road - some traffic was told to keep on going, where as I was pulled over to the side and told that i'd been doing a substancial amount over the limit.

Fine was written out to me then and there...

Worst part was 3 demerit points:(

So there ya go.

Sometimes they don't bother if it's only a bit over but if it was a hand held they have to pull you.

Sometimes they have mounted in cars or on the side of the road that will take photos.. If it was on a tripod or mounted in dash then you'll usually see a flash.

    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
