Hey guys

For various reasons I've decided to put the GTR up for sale. the pics below are before the bonnet was sprayed, I'll try get more done later. but thats fixed up now.

Specs are as I remember, I have a feeling I've left something out but I'll probably remember later on.

I bought the car in May '04 and it was delivered in feb '05. long shipping delays at the time meant I had more time for mods purchasing in between

When the Car finally arrived, washed in the driveway and then tilt trayed to my compliance/mechanic AutoSport Engineering at kirrawee. Greg is a top bloke who does good work.

The car spent 1 week in there, compliance was completed, but what cost the most time and $$$ was the servicing. the car was pulled to peices and put back together again. I had all fluids drained completely and refilled with quality motul products. including transfer/attesa fluids

The engine was pulled out to have the sump baffles installed in the sump, To prevent oil starvation under hard cornering, GTR's are famous for it. but this car is now sorted for that. the equivelant of a 100K service was completed and then some. Timing belt, fluids, etc were all changed.

This car has been raised to a higher std then I would have thought possible. Driving it you cannot tell its an 89 model.

The paint was good except for the bonnet upon arrival. I've just had the bonnet resprayed by Canto smash repairs. its now matching the rest of the car finally. apart from the the occasional blemish, mostly front bumper.

All the ppl who have been in my car can't believe the age of it for how it handles and drives It has an aftermarket exhaust but is really quiet for cruising. I'm not one for loud cars. but when you jump on it, you can really hear it.

I have only just installed the sway bars last weekend, haven't had a chance to test them yet, but cornering is smoother now. Brakes will be getting a new seal kit put in them next week, making them like new. new front pads and fluid.

Car has been checked out underneath by my suspension guy who said its clean. and it hanles extremely well on the street.

Its a smooth ride in comparrison to some coilovers. I must say the OHLINS are fantastic.

I'd be interested in doing a trade for a Honda Civic with cash, I'm after a 1995-1999 EK VTIR manual. mods or not.

Other wise 25K neg.

I think its a great price considering the price of car at auctions, compliance, importing, servicing and condition. Registered till Feb '06. I know that its not the most modified GTR on the plant, I know its not the most powerful. But its a nice all rounder, Quick, handles well, stops great, just right so to speak. for me anyways

Cheers

Mark

    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
