lol it was an awsome day..had my fun...btw wilch..my girl took a pic of ur car abit blurry when you moved to the side for a rear side mirror shot :( shes just learning

ur the one with the 4 Door R34? Dam it looks like a sedan but not.. hehe.. ;)

yeh....lol but it is a sedan...hehehe

which ride was yours?...im sure i got pics of it...just waiting for my friend to upload the pics on my site ;)

I was the dirty Black TURDY! - TRD-33Y.

So many bugs on my front bar.. Wash the car today w00t :(

Yeh which kinda brings up the point of calling these get togethers a race day rather than a cruise day.. i mean wot the hell?? are we not supposed to be a big convoy? was there not supposed to be someone leading the PACK??? which at first count was 24 with numbers falling through the day... I think the organization and leadership of these so called cruises should be given to someone who's not out there to prove that they have the fastest car or can drive the craziest... after all it doesn't help being singled out as hoons because we drive Skylines and i think we get enough bad press as it is. Yesterday was a great day... weather wise, and the few of us who stuck together through it had a really good time enjoying the drive.. personally i think the organization sucked and it all started from the word go when the leaders did not even bother to check that the group was together from Maccas. This is my opinion which i'm entitled to and of course it's your own choise if you, the people that attended, agree or not.

End friggin rant!

Me too ruk. No one forced anyone to drive the way they did.

I had fun. The fast straights were a bit, "how's your father...". But the corners were fun. Lots of fun.

Awesome day!! Very awesome day!! One of the most fun cruises I've been on. There were no problems, and things went pretty smoothly. I know the group I was in had fun. Even on the way back. :(

Where's phat32, why hasn't he chimed in yet?

leisurely? bahhaha.. i checked the peak speed for the day in my car and it was 100kph... duno when i did that though, dont quite remember eva going that fast, lol

good pics! more more :(

u shouldnt overspeed man

tsk tsk tsk

;)

100?? holy shit.. that's nuts

I'm in two minds about mar55s' post... I mean i wasn't aware that the rest of the pack wasn't with us when we left maccas.. but i thought the purpose of the re-group at the butterfly farm was supposed to fix that??

In regards to the driving, yeah some places were a little spirited ..... but i think generally.. the group i was with anyway kept well within their limits.

But as the guy who sent us on our way Majanal?? said, there was going to be a leader setting the pace and those who wanted to have a go could overtake and drop back later...that would have worked well.

So I guess in a weird way that means I agree with you MAR55S

leisurely? bahhaha.. i checked the peak speed for the day in my car and it was 1xxkph... duno when i did that though, dont quite remember eva going that fast, lol

good pics! more more :(

Mate your a f**king idiot for doing that on a public road. I recommend that the Exec Committee teminate your SAU NSW club membership for bringing the club into disrepute at a club event.

what the hell? i was at the back of the group just trying to keep up. its not like i do that kinda thing at all. gezz :( u ask other ppl that was there, if they noticed i was back with MAR55S, r3vit, and a few of the other guys, who actualy wanted to have a 'cruise' not a race. and even then i wasnt able to keep up very well and had ppl pass me.

so if ur acusing me of being a hoon and speeding past ppl and being an idiot or sum crap like that, get the facts about it b4 saying things like that please.

just adding to that, i didnt, or even wanted to, over take any other person on the cruise, i was overtaken many times, proberly cause i was going too slow. and that speed was proberly done when i had to over take other trafic quickly in small spaces to keep up with every1 else (which i wasnt able to do anyway) ..

thanx, this realy makes a new member feel welcome ;)

::Edit::

    • Must have been an absolute nightmare to drive when the power steer was out, the rack ratio/wheel size/caster is all set up for power assistance
    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
    • I wanted to try and preserve the front bumper as long as possible, they're not cheap and are made to order in Japan. Taking inspiration from my previous K11 Micra build where I made an undertray for the Impul bumper, I did the same for this BN Sports bumper but a little slimmed down.  This time round I only made a 'skid plate' (if that's the correct wording/term) for just the bumper surface area, the Micra version covered the gap like an undertray. Starting off with a sheet of mild steel approx. 0.9mm thick 4ft x 2ft in size. I traced around the bumper, cut it out and cleaned the edges. Luckily I was able to get two halves from one piece of metal In the video I installed it as is, but I've since then I've removed it to spray and add a rubber edging trim. The rubber trim is suitable for 1-2mm and it's a really nice tight fit. The bolts had to be loosened due to the plates being too tight against the bumper, the trim wouldn't push on I used some stainless M6 flat headed bolts for a flusher finish (rather than hex heads poking down), I believe this style fastener is used for furniture too incase you struggle to source some. The corner's are a little wider, but this may be an advantage incase I get close to bumping it  The front grill got some attention, finally getting round to repairing it. Upon removal one fixing pulled itself out of the plastic frame, one side is M8 that fixes inside of the frame, where as the other side is M5. Not knowing I could get replacements, I cut down an M8 bolt, threaded it inside the frame along with a decent amount of JB Weld.  The mesh was replaced to match the bumper. One hole on the bonnet/hood had to be drilled out to 8mm to accommodate the new stud, once the glue had set it could be refitted. I think the reason the grill was double meshed was to hide the horn/bonnet latch (which makes sense) but I much prefer it matching the bumper Bumper refitted and it's looking much better IMO The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVZP35io9MA
