ok so the ratio is good. Could be just one pot, like I said. If the fuel map is adjusted to the other 5 pots then the ratio will look right but the ping remains.

Have a quick check of the plugs for signs of lean burn. Will show this even if you are not driving fast all the time.

has it got adjustable cam gears on it?

adam,

if you get the plugs out and have a look it might save you from doing the injector clean. The lean plug has a blistered appearence. If in doubt post up some digi cam pics of each of the plug ends (need to be good quality) and I'm sure a few of us will tell you what they are like.

    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
    • Pull codes via the self-diagnosis procedure. As far as I can tell this is just a sign of transmission issues but not a code unto itself.
    • Hi All, putting the engine back together and everything is perfect except have this plug left over.. any ideas what it is for and where it goes? Is on cold side under the intake plenum *note not a stock plug, as everything has been modified Cheers
    • Sounds like a misfire. Check fuel pressure and don't even think about going into boost while it's like this unless you enjoy engine rebuilds.
