yeah well im being a BAD girl lately ..... i already passed a copper doing 110 in a 70 last weekend ....... i was very lucky he was on the other side of the road and difficult to turn round ..... my poor license i cant help myself :)

Oh my god hahahaha on bert newton they are selling some "ab swinger" this guy was using it and he had the "fu*ck face".... like he was enjoying the thing more than he should have been hahahaha

mark - I work in IT... finished uni 2001... I miss uni, well the social side of it anyway hahahaha

Bel, do the clutch, sticky tyres and take out unneccessay things like spare tyre, jack, do the bleed valve (boost control), good exhaust, bov, etc. If you really want some more power look for a second hand high flow turbo or a t3/t4. you can get them for 800 bucks and will give you at least 300-320hp at wheels and 12's

Niz, I was doing 150 on river side drive and cops were on other side gazing off across the river:) ..Me lucky

luckiest ive ever been was tailgating unmarked cop car ...... then i overtook them at speed and just porceeded to be an idiot in front of them for about 15mins til they finally pulled me over ..... it was a blue commie wagon .... they were going to do me for 6 points ( i only had three left) but decided to let me go with a warning :)

Its more the tuning issues I would say. You should be able to do lowish 13's Bel. You can bump boost to 14psi safely with a frontmount. Get really good tyres (Silverstones 195 each -semislicks). A SAFC would help a lot. I have a re-mapped rb20 computer which makes much more power cos you cant tune the rb25 chip. How much power are you making?

hehe thanks Bel ..... i always check too - but it was a wagon so i really didnt think much of it at the time .... plus i was thinking straight cos i had a huge fight with my ex and was on my way home to mummy at the time haha ..... so i was taking my aggression out on the car and anyone who got in my way!!

hmmmm i need more money ..... would love a FMIC .... not only do they add more power - they look hella sexy! :)

    • Wow ELVIS. You have an....interesting approach to conversation. Did you not notice that I wasn't talking to you?
    • Hello Liam - HA - somewhere in flies - possibly I have an update, but I have been so busy, projects have taken a back seat to getting business back on track.  I will let you know the outcome, but I think I am going to go for the 8HP,  CHEERS.  ELVIS
    • Thanks Joshuaho96, yes - as someone else also suggested, the 8HP seems the 'smart choice' - HA - and ZERO to do with cost, but I am sure 8 speeds will be better than 6 speeds - HA - maybe.  I will purchase a new 8HP,  Thanks.  ELVIS.
    • Nobody said anything about getting a "...cheap Falcon box..."- it was JUST a question about a specific transmission.  And YOU may have a problem with not enough $ - HA - I do NOT - so please keep your comments like you are some financial guru to yourself.  BUT - much appreciated re the cost of a new 8HP and I twill probably be the way I go.  Thanks.  ELVIS.
    • Most people I know in the BMW world are swapping 6HPs for 8HPs. The 6HP has a big issue with one of the clutch drum bushings wearing out shockingly early which leads to them going into limp mode going into 5th/6th gear as the oil pressure loss from the worn bushing causes clutch slip. Even with the adaptations in shifting the TCU can't bump line pressure enough to keep the clutches from slipping and burning. I've personally looked at a 335d with 6HP28 with one owner and ~90k miles on it and the transmission adaptations were way out of spec and even though it nominally drove ok I'm confident it would have needed a full rebuild sooner than later. Other than that they're fine, but the 8HP doesn't really have weird issues like this to my knowledge and they're in everything these days so pulling them out of crashed cars isn't too hard.
