hi guys im not too sure whether the t pice goes into the top of the boost solinoid or the bottom :s? and help is really appreciated especailly if theres pits

Hey bazz. I believe the bottom to be the inlet and the top to be the outlet. This is how mine is and it is working fine.

If you're talking about the standard factory fitted solenoid then it shouldn't matter which way around you connect up to it. It's just a valve that opens at 4800 RPM.

Ive been fiddling arround with mine and I think the solenoiod is stuffed.

Basically no matter what configuration ive had the hoses on it overboosts spasticly.

I know for a fact that when i had my ebc solenoid installed but in the off position that the boost stayed a consistent 7-8psi.But with the controller on no matter what i had it set to,boost was virtually uncontrollable.

Atm the pressure hose has the T peice in it venting into the bov return pipe, this also leads to the top pipe of the boost solenoid. And the wastegate actuator running from the bottom pipe of the solenoid. This way ive found is the best config for me as it holds boost then a tad longer than any of the other ways ive had it configured.

The only other thing that ive been thinking about is should i disconnect the plug.Ive been told that if the computer is not sending a signal to the solenoid that the solenoid has a preset 5psi.

Still id like a concrete answer if any1 can give it.I tried last week and had a few replys but their ways of plumbing all turned up no good.

Should i put another T on the wastegate side and ditto what ive done to the top pipe?

    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything

    • What does it look like with highway driving? And yes, I had a similar thought as Duncan. It looks quite similar in my Stagea and I have made myself accept it as normal. Might have to look into it some day   Highway gets as low as 10l/100km on my end so I'm not as worried about it being a mechanical issue. More likely just the tune on the haltech.
