What color is the liquid and how much comes out ?

Have you just recently boosted up the turbo with that bleed valve?

Is the car running at your desired boost level (not over boosting)?

If boost is at the level you set, it is the blue bleed valve that is bleeding/leaking air out to make the extra boost, very normal :D.

If you are unsure replace the hose connected to the actuator and bleed valve

Dam i left that part out of my post, was it air or liquid leaking ? lol :D

Nice pickup AL.

Hose is connected to the turbo actuator, has to be air :D. Unless there is something drastically wrong, then this will be the least of his problems

I wasn't sure if he was trying to point out some fluid on the pipe or just saying that area has a hose leak.

Also I just saw the pics of your 2 beasts Al verry nice. Good Ol Purple one wins hands down lol.

Purple XA coupe is my mate's :D. Car is awesome, especially when you consider he finished it 9yrs ago.

I pick, speed, handling and braking any day :D

it's not a large amount.. it's small amount of leaking.. after run da car for long period of time.. when i look at it.. the liquid was leaking..

Does it seem like the liquid is comming out of the hose or is it falling onto the hose from somwhere else?

Sounds like OIL to me.

Check your OIL and COOLANT lvl's to see if they are dropping, if they you have found what's leaking, just need to find where.

Best take it to a mechanic

lol AL, thinking of this post you made.

hbs2jh Good luck with the car mate, i hope it's just a small repairable seal or somthing like that.

I suppose it's a good thing that you have cought it while it's just a small leak.

Let us know how it turns out.

i took to ADVAN performance today..

and the leak was from INtercooler piping.. -.-//

it was dropping down from the intercooler piping where has the joint.

i have to replace the rubber part..

he quote me $80-$100 to fix it.. but i didnt' have money so couldn't fix straight away..

it is bad to have oil leak from the intercooler piping??

i just hab to change the rubber joint and tight it up..

Yes and no...............

Ideally you should only have air in you ic piping. Having enough oil to leak at the joint means you car has excessive blow-by and is not at it's healthiest. The oil will also be going into you intake system, thus causing you to loose power.

1/ Fit a big catch can (oil/air separator).

2/ Remove all ic piping and fmic, then clean them thoroughly.

3/ Start saving....... :P

    • Evening, wanted to pop in and finally register to say hi to everyone here on SAU!   It's been a while since I've been active on a forum, but back in the day I used to be relatively active on ClubLexus and other hobby-related forums. I'm glad to see SAU is still around, since with the advent of Facebook and Discord it seems forums aren't what they once were. As a recent new owner of an S1 260RS Stagea, I've found so many older guides and helpful tips from SAU that I figured I needed to join and say a grave thank you. My recent acquisition has only become legal in the US for the past year, and knowing that similar car enthusiasts from across the pond have already figured out the kinks and tricks to get these 25+ year old cars running well. I look forward to diving into more of the SAU forums as well as hopefully contribute some info myself for future posterity.   As a pic tax, here is one of the few good photos I have of my Stagea. I hope to get way more in the future!
    • Is this where I say "Hey man my airbox cost me horsepower in my Naturally Aspirated Engine"? (I know you need them for legality in NSW)
    • 1.5mm alloy folded up, it will need a tweek, as the angled bend only got to around 45° as that was the max that the break press would get with the other bends, and I needed a fair bit more, but and the alloy is easy to bend too my will by hand once I trim the lower section out I'll Dremel out and form the angle and mounting point on the lower section when time permits  As for the lid, I'm looking at going a "cap", instead of a flat lid to hide the fixtures a bit
    • I got sick of thinking about batteries so just kept buying chargers. I've got a ctek (racecar), a "noco" thing from supercheap (tow car with 2 batteries), and an old "SupaCharge" branded lead acid thing (farm ute/mower) and will need 1 more when the Silvia gets a battery again (if the 86 stays).  I always make sure the charger itself is in free space/away from car etc, just to be sure.
