Another Search Issue

When initiating a search, there is an option to:

"Search in child forums if sub category is chosen?"

You can leave the box checked, or untick it.

One would assume that unticking the box would tell the search to NOT search in the child forums, but I can't seem to get any joy from this feature.

eg;

If I want to do a search in the "skyline and other vehicle specific discussion" area, and search only posts in that area, shouldn't unticking the box generate results only from the SAOVSD area?

or is that not how it works?

To interpret my first response, if it's ticked or not, does it make a difference to what you are looking for???? Like, what the hell are the child forums??

Example:

Skyline & Other Vehicle Specific Discussion

-The Next Skyline, Stagea Discussion

-Cefiros and other RB powered sedans

-Other Nissan Imports

-Classic Skylines

If you try to search "Skyline discussion" and untick the box, even with the box unticked, it still shows results from the 4 child forums.

Making any sense yet?
