*pulls hair out*

this has been covered heaps of times... do a search!!

yes this is the naturally aspirated section, so he wud be obviously quoting the 25de

and yes its around 100-110rwkw depending on dyno.

and yes thats a stock'ish figure (maybe pod and/or cai at the most)

and yes its for a black r33

and yes its true black r33s are faster than the pink ones

and yes this can all be found in a search...

kthnxbai

p.s:

Does anyone know what the power output is for a stock R33 GTS (RB25) is? Had an argument with a couple of mates today on who'd win at the end of a standing quarter/kilometre, my R33, a VL (non turbo) or a 4L EB Falcon?

max power output does not necessarily mean fast times...

and a quarter/kilometre is only 250m...

and if your standing, then i guess you win...

so what is it your actually trying to ask?

less talk, more timeslips....

Dude, no need for the freakin' sarcasm...

I tried a search, any thread with a mention of '25' or 'RB' or 'power' comes up, equating to about 70% of the site. Isn't the whole point of a forum for those who have relevant knowledge to share it with thse who don't, and want to learn?

the knowledge is there, its been shared - i know because i have personally posted a dyno graph of my stock R33 can you imagine that forums will be filled full of rubbish if every 2nd person wanted to know the power of their RB, the 1/4 mile times their car should run and their rice rating?

i may have been overly crude, but it took 20 minutes for your question to be answered by redemblem...

and it took me less than 20 seconds to find these:

  • 3 months later...

go and get boned EUG cause you obviously need to get layed. Maybye your hairdressor boyfriend with his gold supra can pick you up and you can jerk him off.

Then you might take this a bit less seriously? what, you making money from this site and this is really bothering you?

Stop being a queer, or youll end up being one of those cranky old people in a unit complex complaining about noise or rubish.

fag

you are 3 months late dude.

and what's with all the sausage talk? you are obviously the one with the complex about penises (omg i said penis) and homosexuals.

kthnx

oh p.s - i have said that i may have been overly rude... so take that penis out of your butt and let this thread die along with the other 500 threads about the power output of that penis in ur butt...

oh wait.. i'm starting to sound like you... hmmm... sorry

on a serious note - how many others would search and find this thread looking for their answer? my money is that next month another one will post asking for dyno/quarter mile answers for their car... and the simple solution will be to actually take their car out and do the run and find out for themselves.

so drop it ross - cos as i said before i do have a thread in the NA section with dyno charts and power outputs and the mods that i had done - and if ppl learn to search for 20 seconds they can possibly have their questions answered based on my experiences.

now that you see my point of view and completely understand where i'm coming from - lets be friends, but straight friends cos i'm into girls =)

I have a 25det but, I would ditch the plenum idea go with what you said. Also upgrade injectors and pump and get a motec or power fc engine management.

Plenums even on my turbo 25 are really a bit of a gymock and dont offer much in the way of performance until you have big power allready (400kw+).

cams, head work. Are you on your p's? If not just swap motors with a turbo 25det.

you will be strugling to get the perfrmance of a turbo one without blowing too much money.

Rather than waste the money modding it, if thats the case save for a 25det or go all out and get a rb26!

hope that helps,

laters

My cousin owns a stockish gts25 r33. with zorst & hi-flow apexi panel filter

From what I've seen it has a decent launch, but later the commodores & falcons creep in front due to the 2.5L displacement versus a 3L+ engine

Thank god the rb25de is twin cam, it's a godsend for the n/a

I wonder how a NEO engine would perform?

    • I've got the rear ones, they're certainly beefy. I need to take them to my driveshaft guru to check over, he's very fussy about the quality of components so I'll let you know if they are made of cheese by a blind man.   Are you in Australia? A mate just had a set of EN26 shafts made for his K20 Lotus by our fabricator which were quite cheap (compared to Driveshaft Shop) so if you can procure the CV's and draw what you need he'd make them for ~$800 for the pair.
    • Had I known the diff between R32 and R33 suspension I would have R33 suspension. That ship has sailed so I'm doing my best to replicate a drop spindle without spending $4k on a Billet one.
    • OEM suspension starts to bind as soon as the car gets away from stock height. I locked in the caster and camber before cutting off the kingpin. I then let the upright down in a natural (unbound) state before re-attaching it. Now it moves freely in bump and droop relative to the new ride height. My plan is to add GKTech arms before the car is finished so I can dial camber and caster further. It will be fine. This isn't rocket science. Caster looks good, camber is good, upper arm doesn't cause crazy gain and it is now closer to the stock angle and bump steer checks out. Send it.
    • Pay careful attention to the kinematics of that upper arm. The bloody things don't work properly even on a normal stock height R32. Nissan really screwed the pooch on that one. The fixes have included changing the hole locations on the bracket to change the angle of the inner pivot (which was fairly successful but usually makes it impossible to install or remove the arm without unbolting the bracket from the tower, which sucks) and various swivelling upper arm designs. ALL the swivelling upper arm designs that look like a capital I (with serifs) suck. All of them. Some of them are in fact terribly unsafe. Even the best one of them (the old UAS design) shat itself in short order on my car. The only upper arm that works as advertised and is pretty safe is the GKTech one. But it is high maintenance on a street car. I'm guessing that a 600HP car as (stupidly, IMO) low as you are going is not going to be a regular driver. So the maintenance issues on suspension parts are probably not going to be a problem. But you really must make sure that however your fairly drastically modded suspension ends up, that the upper arms swing through an arc that wants to keep the inner and outer bolts parallel. If the outer end travels through an arc that makes that end's bolt want to skew away from parallel with the inner bolt, you will build up enormous binding and compressing forces in the bushes, chew them out and hate life. The suspension compliance can actually be dominated by the bush binding, not the spring rate! It may be the case that even something like the GKTech arm won't work if your suspension kinematics become too weird, courtesy of all the cut and shut going on. Although you at least say there's no binding now, so maybe you're OK. Seeing as you're in the build phase, you could consider using R33/4 type upper arms (either that actual arm, OEM or aftermarket) or any similar wishbone designed to suit your available space, so alleviate the silliness of the R32 design. Then you can locate your inner pivots to provide the correct kinematics (camber gain on compression, etc).
    • The frontend wouldn't go low enough because the coilover was max low and the upper control arm would collapse into itself and potentially bottom out in the strut tower. I made a brace and cut off the kingpin and then moved the upright down 1.25" and welded. i still have to finish but this gives an idea. Now I can have a normal 3.25" of shock travel and things aren't binding. I'm also dropping the lower arm and tie rod 1.25".
