Took my gf to casino for work this morning, returned home to Richmond at 7am. After going back to bed for 3 more lazy hours sleep...I awake to discover that in those 3 hours some a#*hole has tried to steal fuel from my car.

They damaged my fuel flap as a result of forcing open the flap with something probably resembling a key or screwdriver. Now I have a bent up fuel flap and scratched duco.

If anyone out there happens to have an R33 fuel flap in KH3 (black) paint lying around please let me know as my car now looks s*%t!!

I do not understand some pathetic human beings but one consolation did however come from this setback...there was no fuel in the car to steal.

cheers peoples

Brad

Damn i heard rumours of sh1t like this happening, but didnt really think people would actually do something so low. If they do it again to another car hopefully they slip and the screw driver goes towards their chest region, preferably their heart.

WTF who in their right mind takes the risk of being caught and beaten to what would resemble a human being just for some fuel?? save themselves what 60 bucks? jeeze fuel atm isnt THAT expensive! the punishment for stealing something should be being forced to eat it... steal fuel you drink 2 litres..steal money..eat 100 5 dollar notes etc etc lol that would teach them

are you sure their trying to steal fuel?

i know suburbs around perth they set the damn cars on fire!

Exactly what I was thinking. Are you sure they're not trying to mix some crap up in there in order to detonate your engine? Vandals are pretty sad.

Also, about making someone eat what they steal, what if they stole food? LoL

Well, you've posed a good question and I guess I'm a little naive in this department but what you're saying could be a possibility in some places but shit like that just does not happen in Richmond, especially where I'm located.

They could have attempted to put anything down the fuel pipe for all I know. I drove to work this morning...just a short trip but I guess I'll find out in time.

cheers

LoL.....I've heard Richmond is pretty bad.

My cuz lives there, apparently there are heaps of junkies in some housing comission flats that cause trouble, perhaps this is related to them?

Seriously, why would someone steal petrol from a car? LoL.

Regardlesss, I hope you find the people who've damaged car so that you can beat them to a pulp. :)

On today tonight about 5 weeks ago or something, they had a segment on junkies gettin high on petrol n runin around streets late at nite all high n causin trouble..

hmm.. idiots.. lol..

Yeah I saw that.....bloody idiots <_<

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
