Boost Controller Spiking

Today i installed a turbosmart single stage boost tap. I've put it between the intercooler pipe and the actuator. It's wound all the way in, so lowest boost, but its spiking. What have i done wrong????????

most bleeds spike unfortunately.. that is why people spend the $300+ for an EBC.

totally agree i had a a turbosmart BC and had spiking problems of up to 3 psi = bad. i read the thread on the turbo tech BC and then bought one, they are orsome, best thing ive done to the car. it actually changes the way the car pulls, boosts earlier and faster, spikes maybe 1psi.

buy a turbo tech BC! B)

those things aren't as great as people make out.. they will spike as well. Maybe its just my car but the turbosmart was exactly the same.

Take it out a quater of a turn.

yes it spikes, 1psi. 2 at the most (on my car) but no where near as much as the turbosmart BC. what i like is the speed at which boost is produced much faster than the turbosmart.
