Mufflers - Ebay Vs. Brand

Anyone had any experience with buying parts off ebay? I'm tossing up whether or not i want to take a chance on ebay parts (specifically "N*Power") or pay over twice the price for a more recognised brand. Any suggestions?

Japanese branded parts usually have better fitment, better quality finish and if you're talking about exhausts/mufflers, better sound.

However, there will be very little difference (if any) in power between no-name and branded.

Well the alternative i was looking at was one on the nemesis line made by Cypher, read somewhere that they were designed from looking at HKS, A'pexi, etc designs and adapting them for best results. Would those be a decent equivalent?

You could always do both. Buy a name brand off ebay. I've bought heaps of stuff off ebay, mostly cds but lots of other stuff, a few car parts. Only been ripped off once for a fuel pump but my bank refunded the money a few weeks later. Just make sure you know what you're buying and check feedback.
