Well, as Autosalon is on here in Brisbane this weekend, I thought it would be a good time for the majority of us skyline cruisers to possibly get together and organise a cruise for tomorrow (Saturday) night as Autosalon closes down at 9pm to get ready for another day on Sunday.

So, who here would be interested in a cruise? Cruise would either start at around 9.30pm for those who have entered into the autosalon and can get their car out saturday night.

Or

Start the cruise at around 8pm for those skylines that can either leave early or did not enter in such as myself.

Those who are interested, please show your interest in responding. If not much of a response is given, then we might just give it a miss. But as the last skyline meet on the thursday night was a good outcome in my opinion, thought as we have a car event on this wknd, would be good to th skylines in a group.

Possibly even organise a few night time photo's as well, which could come in handy for the calander thats in progress as we speak.

Yeah I don't mind going for a drive but it would be best if you described the meeting location, the direction we will be heading, some of the stops on the way.

When you organise a cruise you have to have it all prepared otherwise you won't get any takers. If people see that it looks like just a dodgy 'drive around' they won't bother coming because it looks as though you haven't put any thought into it.

I was just seeing the interest first to see if anyone wants to go through with the cruise. The next step would of been to see if they want to cruise around the city or down to BWCP.

Well.... my plan put forward.

Meet at Springwood Crazy Clarks at 8pm. From there we will leave and head down for a cruise towards BWCP with a pit stop in at Yatala BP. We'll leave Springwood Crazy Clarks right on 8.30pm and no later allowing us to meet up with the leavers from Yatala BP at 9pm.

Meet: Springwood Crazy Clarks 8pm.

Depart meet spot: 8.30pm SHARP!

Destination: BWCP.

Pit Stop: Yatala BP which we will arrive at approximately 8.50PM / 9PM. Depart from their with the others who usually meet at Yatala BP.

I'll be there at 8pm.

Those who are within the cbd area. Let me know and we can meet at either coorparoo macca's along old cleveland rd at 7.30 or officeworks along ipswitch road at 7.30.

if no one will respond to wanting at meeting at these 2x locations, i wont turn up then and will go straight to springwood crazy clarks.

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
