ah yeah bad luck JeeTeeEss25Tee aye i saw you dyno it.

what did rigoli tell you after it?

thx alan. rigoli told me that the exhaust manifold was restrictive given the rests of the mods was pretty much free flow (FMIC, 3' zorst, filters, . . .) and the turbo could made more power coz its not an R33 item. I'll just wind down the boost for now till the problem is found.

Thanks for all who attended and by the sounds of it ppl where generally happy with the event. Some very respectable numbers from the skylines.

Everyone had a chance on the dyno and as for power figures the GTR's came 2nd & 3rd from memory. I will try to post the list sometime this week.

Thanks again

hey john... you know how the stock red 200 ran 115kw? .... the stock silver 200 ran 125kw with just an airfilter... shows how much diff a decent air filter adds power

I know those guys. They're brothers.

gtr's came 2nd and 3rd.

I know I got 203.7kw at all 4 but my car is running rich (a/f didn't go over 10.7,should be sorted by next week)

I wasn't there to see the send GTR what did it get? Was it the gunmetal grey r32?

hey im new.

it did turn out a good day.

met some new people! bbq was great. an damn man the vtir was off the hook lol.

Hey Guys,

Alot of pics are on the way and the power list is been compiled as we speak. To answer some of your questions:

- Yellow corolla came first with 280rwkw

- The 2 top GTR's (gun metal r32 & white r32 with gold rims ) from memory made between 250-260rwkw. in 4wd mode one of them made around 220kw.

Good event & great figures from those who participated.

So they all got beaten by jnr godzilla?

GTiR made 221kw at 4 didnt it?

better than the GTRs?

mick

yes thats right wrxkilla, one of the GTRs made around 220kw at all 4 fours but customer wanted rwd mode to show peak power. So if table was categorised by 4wd mode then rankings would look something like this:

1st - white GTR (~225KW)

2nd - GTIR (221KW)

3rd - Black GTR (~220KW)

with the heat on that day i think everyone would get at least extra 10kw in shoot out mode  :D  but ye some impressive results there.  gw with the pics Scandrew & mac30

The Dyno used at Power Tune is a dyno dynamic and therefore does not show shoot out mode. As JeeTeeEss25Tee said ur figures would be slightly higher if it was.

yeah we ran 220.??kw on all 4wheels.

our car is a black GTR, not gunmetal grey, we just sand it down..cause we are repsraying it while im talking nows.

and yeah were pretty happy with the result, not much major mods an we pulled out that much.

if anyone has any pictures, from that girl taking pictures on the day. could you pm me or just post them up here.

il appreciate it if you do so.

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
