going over to the marina now to measure the "carpark" to see how many cars we can fit on there...if we get a day like today should look awesome.

Just checked it...its 35mtrs x 25mtrs...should get all cars on ok. As you can see somebody has already misbehaved on this area....please do not repeat this as it will ruin it for future events.

I will have 1 passenger. might stretch to 2 but dont count the second as she is one of those wierd people who refuses to eat tasty, succulent, mouth watering, high in protein, life saving meat! yes thats right. i said life saving. :)

Awesome guys, welcome :P

Paul needs definate numbers by weds night so food drinks can be purchased. $5 for a sausage on a long roll with onion, sauce with a can of drink....little extra for a second. Paul suggested any money left over to be donated to SAU NSW for next years show and shine, which i think would be a great idea. Also, on the day everyone will be given a sticky label with a number, so we can arrange cars for the photos.

Just a reminder.....9am Speers Point Park, this Sunday.

Refer to the first post for names, maps etc.

Hay guys I don’t want to put a dampener on the weekend but have you herd the rumours of what happened at Cronulla is/might be happening at nobbies this sun?

I will still be coming to nelsons bay but I won’t be heading to newie. I don’t want my baby to get damaged.

I will have one passenger.

see you guys at 9.

Cheers,

Boz

Man, after todays increase in police powers, there won't be shit happening at Nobbys this weekend.

Plus, the majority of people down are are generally more disgusted at this weeks events then proud of em.

And I would know, as I work with the absolute "common man" in tradesmen everyday and they'd be the ones to say racist stuff if anyone would.

Besides which, we may end up staying at Bar Beach rather then heading into Nobbys.

Especially since I don't think it would be a real hot idea to piss off the local constabulary anymore then we have too.

Haha, awesome man.

Theres a few others that I've seen around lately that I'd love to see come with us.

A blue 33, with a carbon bonnet and plates SLY 25T that I see at Glendale alot. Its a hot as car!

And theres two that have moved in up the road from me here too.

White 33 with plates JES 550, and a lime green 33 with a carbon bonnet and some strange kit. Haven't got the plate yet though.

ok numbers up to 51...should i cater for 75 "lunches" or 100...as some ppl including myself will eat 2 sausage buns and two cans of drink in 2hrs. and can we please have no..."im not eating" as if "your not eating" you would be asked to make a $5 donation anyway.....please all agree as this is not a unreasonable request. Any left over cash will be donated to the SAU N.S.W. club for trophys at next years show and shine.

maybe 100? its up to you, i'd say most of the girls would only eat one? could be wrong... but it would be a shame to waste anything, if drinks run out, people can always buy more at a shop or something.

The Diemar family could be eating sausages at their christmas table....lol

with current makes and numbers it looks like this "parked"....8 R33 GTS-t's along the back, another 8 on the second row, 7 R31's on the next row and 4 R32's along the front.

    • Yeah I suspect even if you hold airmass per cycle/cylinder constant if you get too far away from stock you're still going to have problems running the factory tune within the bounds of the factory load scale. Cams, different displacement/rod ratio, etc. I'm just lucky that the GTIII-SS with wastegate boost + CA compliance cats is pretty much equivalent to stock turbos. When I have actual space I can finally get it tuned and modify the fuel system for flex fuel to 100% handle any detonation concerns when cranking the boost to whatever those dinky turbos can put out.
    • I would say no, why, because my daughter, who also lives in Goulburn, hasn't recommended us going there Pity, as we miss all the German joints around in Sydney, actually, the restaurants are the only thing I really miss about Sydney, and a special mention to Ishibanboshi at Bondi Junction, their Kara-age Don is heart cloggingly deliciousness (always added a special boiled egg...or 2) 😋
    • Does that German restaurant still exist in the old place out the NW end of Goulburn? When I say "out the NW end of"...I am really being vague. It was 1997 when I was last there, and the only point of reference I can recall is that it was on the opposite side of the main drag from the big merino. And when I say "opposite side of the main drag", I don't mean "on the main drag". It was either a couple of streets back from there, or might have even been out in the sticks a bit further. Was an old farm building or mill or somesuch. And when I say "the big merino" I might actually be thinking of a completely different part of town, because I just looked on maps and the big bugger is not where I remembered him to be! The food was good, consisting largely of various German mystery-meat sausage/loaf things and kartofflen.
    • So while the second sentence is completely correct and the whole point of the conversation, the first sentence bears consideration. If this bloke is just hoping to throw big turbos on and drive it around, because there are no helpful facilities at all in his tropical paradise** then he likely has zero chance of even knowing what the TP is on the last column in the stock maps, let alone know whether the ECU is operating anywhere near it or past it. So the point is very very moot. And, per what I said before, at stock boost on those turbos, you may well be off the end of the map. **I'm just back from Vanuatu, so I know exactly what small Pacific nations can be like wrt paradise without requisite facilities. But it's not even that simple. I put a high flow on my car and had to drive it around with a proper tune because of the lack of opportunity*** to put the bigger AFM and injectors into it to allow it to be tuned. I had to turn the boost down to less than I had before, and back off the boost controller's ramp, because it was exploring parts of the map that it didn't drive in before, and really couldn't access for tuning on the dyno either, and so was pinging. It was still well within the last column, because when I first**** set up the Nistune on the Neo I rescaled all axes of the maps to give some more space to explore. ***Family dyno was broken ****This was 13 years ago, and the TIM thing wasn't a thing then and so TP would definitely grow when pushing past the stock tune's limits.
    • Yep, this bit another local owner. I caught it before putting the transmission back into the car, what I noticed was the pressure plate fingers weren't flat and even. It's more obvious with the pull style clutch because the throwout bearing ring was visibly not flat once everything is put together. Nismo should really update their instructions to call out this specific detail. I'm not even sure the clutch as-shipped orients everything properly.
