I have just bought a 95 r33 gtr. It has just posted 310 kw @ the wheels. It has 2 steel plated ball bearing turbo's running 20 psi.

Upgrded intercooler and piping.

Adjustable hks cam gears

3.5 inch Exhaust going straight through cat.

twin sports air filters

Electronic boost controller

Aftermarket E.C.U

air flow meter

hks sports cluth and fly wheel

injectors and fuel pump.

Sports suspenion and 19x10 mags.

I would expect on a cold night with octane booster about 325-330 at the wheels.

What 0-100 km times and 1/4 times would this be possible of. I would never take it to the drags but just want to know for my own interest. I was told it was possible for high 10's and just under 4 sec 0-100. Does this sound about right?

I know of a R33 GTR with 285kw at the wheels that has done a 11.8 @ 118MPH. So id guess you would be looking at a 11.2-11.6 pass at about 120-124mph. You would need to post something like a 1.6-1.7sec 60foot time though.

0-100KM/PH would be in the 3.5-4.0sec area, depending on launch.

About the lowest power for a 10sec pass ive seen, was a stripped out R32 GTR with a dog box and HKS-2540'S that ran a high 10sec pass with 358awkw... it needed a 1.51sec 60foot to do it though!!!

If you've just got steel wheeled turbo's, and allready need 20psi to post 310kw at the wheels, then without a rebuild of the engine, or c16/avgas, you wont be able to run much more boost than what you are allready. Sounds like you have N1 turbo's fitted. No GTR with N1's is gonna have enough power to run a 10sec pass IMO.

[Thanks guys for all your responses. I would be more than happy with 11.2-11.6 1/4 mile time. I don't see myself taking it to the track any time soon though. I just wanted it set up for maximum accelaration and quickest 0-100 times just for every day driving to have the huge power when I want it off the mark to say goodbye at the lights etc. If I can run close to 3.5 0-100 I am happy with the results.

I know it is set up for turbo's to kick is asap which is about 2900 rpm and has already 200+ @wheels by 4000 rpm and just keeps going.

All up I have spent about $8500 for the mods, since it already had cat back exhaust, intercooler upgrade, suspenion and mags when I bought it. It's not a V-SPEC model done under 35,000kms. Is $45,000 on road a decent price for this car with such low km's and such mods. Including full black re-spray and sterio system and new clutch plates on top of the 8500.

Anyway I still haven't even driven it yet or being in a gtr let alone a modified one. I hope its as good as everyone says and the good thing is my misses can drive a manual. What a shame.

Just one more question for you guys with GTR'S dyno is the power at all 4 wheels or does it revert to only rear wheels on dyno?

awkw.

So all wheels.

Haha I hope you have experience with modified cars, coz if you haven't this thing is going to be lethal in your hands! :)

Take it easy for a while until you get used to your machine.

[i've only had a TT Soarer and my misses has a TT supra which has 220 @ rear wheels. I will take it easy for a while for sure. One thing I have over most of you guys thiugh is I have done a 2 week extreme drivers course due to my job as a cop. Please don't hate me now I don't pick on Jap imports just when people have BOV that can be heard miles away or drive like a dick head we pull them over. Well that's in victoria I can't speak for other states and I can't speak for Traffic units either. Generally the most we can do is EPA the cars due to open air filters and BOV otherwise you are left pretty much alone.

Thanks again for your response. :)

Also in repsonse to earlier saying 20 kw gain form octane boost. It's not just the booster a dyno is the equilivent as a 35 deg day as lack of cool air as only fan blowing. If your doing 80km/h plus and it's a cold night you would get that improved 5% gain.

You're a cop hey?

The import drivers worst enemy....joke, joke.

It's cool how u don't pull imports over for no reason, which is what a lot fo cops do.

Also find it interesting, that your car is defectable! LoL.

Nah that's cool, I hope you stay on the forums and contribute to the Victoria section about laws/defects n stuff, coz it comes up a lot.....e.g "Are my pedals defectable, Are abc, or xyz allowed etc etc."

Always good to hear inside knowledge.

No worries. Anyone with questions on what's legal or defecable in victoria I will find out. There is no point spending good money to do up cars just to find out that it's illegal and you have to remove it or your car is unroadworthy.

The most obvious things are loud exhausts, open air filters in engine bay and BOV which are all EPA issues.

I reckon you should give it a run at the drags and find out!

If you are too timid to drive it yourself (don't feel bad - that is a serious machine you have on your hands!) I'm sure there are plenty of friendly SAU members that would be willing to donate their time and run your car into the 11's for you :P

    • Hi guys . Can someone help me  I bought an Android screen for my Nissan fuga but it won't turn on
    • My guesstimate, with no real numbers to back it up, is it won't effect it greatly at all.its not a huge change in position, and I can't see the air flow changing from in turbulence that much based on distance, and what's in front of it. Johnny and Brad may have some more numbers to share from experience though.
    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
