Miller the hoon
I mean are people pinging and doing damage and spending loots of money with out and possible neglecting wat fuel that they use + a highly modded car would have a couple of Kws more due to fuel and they quot 187kws is that at 102 ron caues at 98 would would loose a bit do you think it is worth the $20 a fortnight to use octane booster with bp98 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/94821-102-ron-in-japan/#findComment-1712460 Share on other sites
paulr33
hell no. the car should be tuned around the local evironment and should not rely on the user adding octane booster each time to keep the ron count up. this means if you get a bad batch of fuel and / or forget the octane booster the car, depending on ecu may ping itself to death. the car should always be tuned around local octane fuel Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/94821-102-ron-in-japan/#findComment-1712510 Share on other sites

Foul i think. For $20 a fornight, you would more than half way to having a power FC in a year. AlexCim
There is nothing like a good tune. There is not much difference between the fuels regarding power production when coupled with a good tune. To be honest, the main reason that I buy 98 isnt because I think its "better" but i definatly find that it gives better fuel economy (based on previous cars) and less emmisions.
