Item: R32 GTR Grill and Brackets to Mount it.

Location: I'm in Adelaide, but willing to pay for interstate delivery

Item Condition: Would like a good one, but can glass it up if necessary

Reason for Selling: I ain't sellin' it, I'm buyin' it! :)

Price and Payment Conditions: Thinking around the $100 mark with brackets, seeing as it's only a grill. In worse condition, around the $50 mark.

Extra Info: Have to have the brackets, otherwise I can't fit it. I'm thinking to get hold of one and make a mould of it, then make and sell copies. They're hard as hell to find, and no-one in Australia seems to make them. The brackets will be the hardest things to replicate at a guess.

Contact Details: e-mail me on [email protected] or reply to this topic. I don't really check this forum too often, but you can try.

Thanks for helping me out, and hopefully they're will be R32 GTR grills flying around the place soon enough! B)

Oh ok, might help to put this there next time! Sorry about that. :)

I'll get onto UAS - I'm assuming you mean Unreal Auto Sports (just to clarify)

Thanks for the heads up! B)

Thanks for that, I sent them an e-mail, should hopefully work something out.

At this point, from what I understand, I need the following:

R32 GTR Grill and Mounting Brackets.

R32 GTR Bonnet Latch

I already have the orange indicators, so that should fool people as far as that's

concerned. Will also need a different front bar and bonnet, but for what people

ask for standard GTR hood and front bar, it's cheaper to go for aftermarket hood

and bar straightaway! :)

...no idea why people ask more for stock GTR gear, but oh well!

Thanks again,

Adrian.

Just got an e-mail back from unique autosports, they want between 300-400 just

for the grill!!!

So, it looks like I'm back on the prowl, in the second hand market...

Why do people ask soooo much for R32 GTR gear? I can get a pair of GTR 32

seats for 350, for crying out loud!!! B)

Anyhoo, if anyone has the bits I need, pleeeeease drop me a bell...

Adrian.

Unley Nissan can get you one, a mate of mine got one from there a while back. It was $200, and came painted to whatever colour his car was

Bonnet latch ma be a bit harder to come accross. I ended up getting mine from a importer, who located one in Japan and sent it over in his next shipment. Unley Nissan may also be able to get these

Bonnets are hard to get, because they are aluminium, so they dent real easy, and most people that have got a GTR, don't want to sell them. They are sought after on a GTST, so they are quite rare

Thanks fellas, I'll get onto Unley Nissan tomorrow about the GTR grill, and try

to scope it out.

Thanks again, and keep watching the stars! :P

Adrian.

Just got a call back from Unley Nissan,

They want $1050 for a new bonnet, and between $300 - $400 for the grill!!! :D

So it looks like I'll hold off til I find something on the used market.

Cos for that money, I might as well do an R34 GTR nose conversion! B)

Thanks anyway chaps,

Adrian.

HATE TO SAY I TOLD YOU SO BUT..............

I TOLD YOU SO!TWO HUNDRED BUCKS WILL PROB GET YOU A GOOD CONDITION SECOND HAND ONE MAYBE?HOW MUCH DID U EXPECT FOR A BRAND NEW GENUINE ALUMINIUM GTR BONNET?

HOW MUCH DO U THINK A R32 GTR NOSE CONVERSION WILL COST YOU?

Edited by villain

Well, I was thinking a used R32 GTR Grill and Hood would cost around $500, seeing

as I can get a vented FRP GTR 32 Hood for $350. :(

I can also get an R34 GTR front end (Headlights, Hood, Front Guards, Front Bar,

etc) for around the $2000 mark, but was thinking to stick with the 32 look. The way

it's going though, might end up cheaper to look like a 34 GTR!

Anyhoo, I'll keep an eye out for 32 GTR parts for now, and see where I end up.

Thanks anyway for all your help...

a genuine gtr bonnet costs more because (its made out of aluminium) and they weight next to nothing!

Fair enough. I'm not really in it at the minute for weight saving, just more the look

of a GTR over the GTS-T. But I think the prices are pretty rude nevertheless.

Thanks anyway.

well get a second hand carbon fibre chinese rip off as you wont have to pay extra to get it painted as u would with gtr bonnet ,or take an angle grinder or axe to your steel gts-t bonnet thatd cost next to nothing:)

There is a WTB section. And UAS sell em for $150

No luck, gave them an e-mail, they're guestimating between 300 - 400!

    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
    • Thanks for the replies everyone. Definitely a coolant push. Oil catch can is empty and always has been. As the engine is out now I'll be having a good look over things. I do have some detonation on the piston tops from a trigger issue back about 5 years ago. I felt it and shut off then bought a new ecu and changed the trigger. Never been an issue since. It never hurt the power, its made almost 80hp more since that incident but I will pull the bearing caps to take a look. If the bearings are damaged I will do a bottom end refresh. Head is being re conditioned at the moment and the block will be cleaned and checked to ensure it's flat. I'll go with a kameari gasket and see how it ends up. The other thing I'm not super keen on is the cylinder colours. I suspect this is from the inlet manifold. The plan will be to put it back together, retune and then stick a plazmaman billet inlet on it and retune. I'm happy with the power, if it makes a little more, then great, but I would rather just make everything more efficient at this stage.
    • Maybe they'll look to do a bunch of presales to help inject some cash fast for their financial issues...
    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
