R33_Series2Lover
Has anyone had any experience with these cat back systems?? Are they any good. Im thinking of getting one but I want to know if the sound it resonates is a good sound not unbearable and droney I want to take the silencer off also as they look ugly. The only thing that scares me abit is that it doesnt have a resonator just a small muffler looking thing where the resonator is. Anyone at all here heard about these exhausts and if they are any good. Thanks your responses are much appreciated. GtstCoupe
krysiu hast the r spec and i looked at it before i got my trust power extream II, and yes the blitz does have a nice note but is a bit louder and may not be realy legal due to being to loud ,but just cruising around will be much quiter that on boost anyway so it might not even pose a problem, but any way you go the jap exhaust is the way. Binky1970
I run the spec V Blitz system and its pretty loud with the silencer out. once you get used to it, its ok. The build quality is extremely good and matches up to the factory hagers perfectly. gt-t_r34
i have a spec r on my r32 its loudish like when you under 3g its loud then when you get on song its not really i think my standard dump and front pipe is resisting the noise to much any higher than that so it could be the problem but other than that i dont reckon its to bad. my friend has one on his S15 hes been pulled up before and they cops didnt say a thing about the exhaust and his is a little louder but is really ahh you get numb legs when in the back he has no cat and 3 inch dump and front pipe so it vibrates like a bitch! abcent
I've got the Spec R full system on my 33, Awsome build quality, great system, It's got very little restriction, all mufflers are straight through an free flowing. it fitted perfectly out of the box. as for noise, without the silencer in it drones like an old V8 ute sitting on about 100km/h and a little around 60km/h, an on the scale of aftermarket exhausts, is pretty loud. I very rarely take the silencer out unless i plan a dyno tune, SAU cruise, trip down the coast, track days in future etc... having said all that, I'm 100% happy with it, wouldnt change it for anything else. If you want the quality but are concerned about noise levels, go for the Spec V, there a bit quieter, but still have a good Blitz note, 2 of my mates opted for the V over the R. My main objective was performance thats all. race_snooze
the only problem that i can see by not using brand name is that maybe just maybe you might get ripped off by cheap metal, and may crack/rust/ sound shit Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/97088-opinions-on-nur-spec-r-cat-back-exhaust-system/#findComment-1764839 Share on other sites
gt-t_r34
everythings top quaility on it and you get the jap name the welds are perfect cant go past it mate if you have a choice between paying 1100 for this and 700 for a x force or somehting go the blitz. i went to g&d to get my service the other day and he just loved my exhuast system said it was top quailty with all the tig welds etc. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/97088-opinions-on-nur-spec-r-cat-back-exhaust-system/#findComment-1764974 Share on other sites
Bobjones
My turbo back cost me all of $450... Had a 5Zigen cat back with intermediate muffler and HUGE rear muff, had the dump and highflow cat done and replaced the section from the cat to the rear muff. It flows well, is not loud (due to the high quality, straight through but large rear muff). All up I think its alot better than some I have seen, oh and its painted, so rust not an issue...and besides SS is louder Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/97088-opinions-on-nur-spec-r-cat-back-exhaust-system/#findComment-1764975 Share on other sites
