Yup same front bar as i have for mine...

difference between HR30 and DR30 is the dr's came with the FJ20ET, HR's came with L20T, plus few other little changes here and there driveline wise..

HR30 is the NO frills DR30, no electrics, no fj20det, no larger brakes, no r200 lsd

Hr30 does have its positives though all the fun stuff from the dr can be transfered ( engine, brakes, diff, iron mask front end, HEHEHE) and still be about 100kg lighter than the DR..

I wish parts like that were avalible here for the DR/HR30's. But none the less it isnt.

That front Bar would look stunning on mine, even more with the two tone paint job ive got. But i really need to focus on the problem of rust, Always keep a eye on your lower sill's and front arch's :)

ahrm. I must say something about your comment here.

I dont know what you think a HR30 is. but they still have all the extras apart from the FJ20 and Larger brakes.

My KHR30JATI LE has Full Electrics (Windows, Mirrors, Turbo timer- from the factory, electronic damper control, ac etc.) And a r200lsd from factory.

Just clearing that up for you rsx84

George. yours isnt a normal factory spec HR30. Paul newmans dont really count.

My KHR30jft does. NO air con. no power steer, And manual windows. ANd fu>k all sound deading

my plain jane HR30 has air, p/steer, & electric mirrors (that don't work) EDIT: and the electronic adj shocks (which also didn't work)

manual windows, and open R200. Heaps of sound deadening though - that stuff is everywhere!

but the best part is it has a straight six, like all proper skylines :)

i was going to mention it but i thought someone who knows so much about the hr30 would have known his Paul Newman special was just that??

also it depends on what year the Hr30 is, mines an 82' and i have no power windows, no power steering but i do have A/C and damper adj front shocks (not that they work)???

maybe it was a trade off when they were built, "that one can have power steering and adj damper but NO a/c"..

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
