Import Dvds?

Personally I like the HPI range.

I also have two from the High Octane Series (4 and Overboost) Overboost is pretty good, but has a dodgy story line that goes with it after every couple of scenes which might annoy you. Other than that its really good.

Look for Ignition in your Newsagent, its a full length Oz DVD for $14.95. Best Value I reckon....

haha yeah but the topic title says import dvds, but i was looking for ones with some nice hill climbs and anything with gtrs is always good.

When are the Video stores - Blockbuster, VideoEzy etc - going to wake up and hire these out? They'd make a mint! And, sure private sales of these things may drop initially, but when the Import DVD producers realise they have 5000 video stores wanting copies, I'm sure they wn't mind!!!

I've got a few DVD's but I can't afford to spent $40 every time a new one comes out!

How can we get this message thru???

some video stores round my area carry the full hi-octane range! which is good cos ketzel can be a lil annoying at times lol

im a mischeif dvd fan myself

i usually get them from JB hi fi, or HMV, but ive found some gems in cheap dvd shops for around $10 (getaway in stockholm 1 & 2, and a couple of english tuner dvds)

Option dvd's are great if your into drifting. it follows the D1 series in japan. also BMI (Best Motoring International) are pretty entertaining too....

I have everyone in both series, most originals and shit loads of other car dvd's in my collection

Bought HPI v8 for my mates bday recently and Hot Version: RB Japanese muscle for myself.

Got them both from Autobarn tweed heads, $30each.

Hot Version: RB japanese muscle is all about skylines at the start. Has a bit of info about the history of the GTR models with archive footage and then has a selection of some of the ultimate GTR models including Bee Racing R324R Drift Car, HKS R34 Skyline GT-R, Mine's R34 Skyline GT-R and Hosaka R33 Skyline GT-R test driven by Tsuchiya, Orido and Wakisaka around Ebisu East course? I think.

I preferred HPI v8 overall. Lots of drifting, I especially liked the touge runs. And the drags were pretty cool too.

Damn i just saw on http://www.seriousbiz.com.au/ you can get HPI V7+8 for $29.95!

Has anyone watched HPI v9? I would've got it but they didn't have it, it's meant to have HEAPS of drifting in it.

What are some other good ones? I think I prefer the HPI style with more action as opposed to something like Hot Version with a lot of discussion (and subtitles). Tsuchiya is pretty funny though lol.

HPI ten was almost all if not all drifting, isnt that why they started Drift Battle and now they have a Drift Battle DVD out as well. Im not bagging HPI but there is so much more to the Japanese car scene then drift.

I would like to see HPI v10 as i think thats the one that has the silver 4-door r32 they buy from auction over there. The HPI v7 had a lot of drift but also had a drag event.
