270 cc's in a 6 cylinder = 270 bhp

270 bhp = 150 rwkw

That's at standard fuel pressure ie 36-38 psi

It doesn't matter what ECU you use, the max flow of the injector is still the max flow of the injector.

You can increase the fuel pressure, but you have to be carefull as the standard fuel hoses and clamps are not designed for higher than standrd fuel pressure. That's when they are new, R32 hoses and clamps are far from new now.

Around 45 psi gives a 10% increase in flow, so ~165 rwkw is the most I have seen out of standard R32GTST injectors. Do a search and you will find plenty of info on using GTR (444cc) injectors in RB20's. It is probably THE most common injector upgrade.

:) cheers :)

iam at 180rwkw at the moment using remap ecu (still not right) t3 high flowed fmic, fuel pump, rising rate fuel reg and all the other usuals, so mmmhhh neone else

What's the fuel pressure?

What's the injector duty cycle?

Tried it on any other dyno's? Maybe this one is a little happy.

:) cheers :)

dont know either of the two wuestion i know duty cycle is getting high though as starting to get into a fuel cut now and then,

had it on two dynos, made 170rwkw before z32 and remap made 180 after so i know its above the 150rwkw max figure though

but dunno how much is left in the tank though, as for extracting fuel

You really should use the search button, this has been covered many times.

Mine hit 92% at 176rwkw with an external bosch pump.

The std AFM was hitting 4.98v, the Z32 was hitting 4.2v.

In order to hold a 12:1 AFR ~500rpm after power starts dropping off injectors hit 100%.

At the safe 80% I would consider it very close to the figures SydneyKid has suggested.

I've seen 243rwkw out of stock injectors (clint32) it was running some serious fuel pressure though, it went on to run a 12.8 with a healthy mph. :( He was origionally trying to run the RX7 IV injectors however Martin had issues getting the rb20det to idle with them and the remaped ecu.

Really depends how happy the dyno is.

We recently had a dyno day at the dyno I use.

Many were rather unhappy when their car made less power than their own dyno, in one instances 30rwkw (down from 300+ to 280rwkw) and another ~20rwkw less.

i got 206rwkw with standard injectors, 910 pump and i think its a remapped ecu. highest i went was 211 but that was getting dangerous so dropped it down, dont know duty cycle.

i have also heard upto 220rwkw but then again sum ppl say 170rwkw dont know who to beleive, then theres the problem of consistancy in dyno's which pretty much leaves us nuthing to go by.....

r32 gtst

fmic

t3/4 hybrid

exhaust + dump from turbo

pod filter

bosch 44 fuel pump

was running turbosmart valve (still spiked, verified on dyno) set @ 16 psi

was making 195 rwkw with std injectors and donnon tuned ecu, afr's healthy

12.7

fitted avcr 21/12 boosted as far as 21 psi no pinging, still 12.7 afr, injectors @ 100% by 1/2 throttle. 16psi same results as turbosmart injector @ 100% by 3/4 throttle.

boost now 14.7 (1 bar) injectors app 89% even at full throttle made 175rwkw.

    • The rain is the best time to push to the edge of the grip limit. Water lubrication reduces the consumption of rubber without reducing the fun. I take pleasure in driving around the outside of numpties in Audis, WRXs, BRZs, etc, because they get all worried in the wet. They warm up faster than the engine oil does.
    • When they're dead cold, and in the wet, they're not very fun. RE003 are alright, they do harden very quickly and turn into literally $50 Pace tyres.
    • Yeah, I thought that Reedy's video was quite good because he compared old and new (as in, well used and quite new) AD09s, with what is generally considered to be the fast Yokohama in this category (ie, sporty road/track tyres) and a tyre that people might be able to use to extend the comparo out into the space of more expensive European tyres, being the Cup 2. No-one would ever agree that the Cup 2 is a poor tyre - many would suggest that it is close to the very top of the category. And, for them all to come out so close to each other, and for the cheaper tyre in the test to do so well against the others, in some cases being even faster, shows that (good, non-linglong) tyres are reaching a plateau in terms of how good they can get, and they're all sitting on that same plateau. Anyway, on the AD08R, AD09, RS4 that I've had on the car in recent years, I've never had a problem in the cold and wet. SA gets down to 0-10°C in winter. Not so often, but it was only 4°C when I got in the car this morning. Once the tyres are warm (ie, after about 2km), you can start to lay into them. I've never aquaplaned or suffered serious off-corner understeer or anything like that in the wet, that I would not have expected to happen with a more normal tyre. I had some RE003s, and they were shit in the dry, shit in the wet, shit everywhere. I would rate the RS4 and AD0x as being more trustworthy in the wet, once the rubber is warm. Bridgestone should be ashamed of the RE003.
    • This is why I gave the disclaimer about how I drive in the wet which I feel is pretty important. I have heard people think RS4's are horrible in the rain, but I have this feeling they must be driving (or attempting to drive) anywhere close to the grip limit. I legitimately drive at the speed limit/below speed the limit 100% of the time in the rain. More than happy to just commute along at 50kmh behind a train of cars in 5th gear etc. I do agree with you with regards to the temp and the 'quality' of the tyre Dose. Most UHP tyres aren't even up to temperature on the road anyway, even when going mad initial D canyon carving. It would be interesting to see a not-up-to-temp UHP tyre compared against a mere... normal...HP tyre at these temperatures. I don't think you're (or me in this case) is actually picking up grip with an RS4/AD09 on the road relative to something like a RE003 because the RS4/AD09 is not up to temp and the RE003 is closer to it's optimal operating window.
    • Either the bearing has been installed backwards OR the gearbox input shaft bearing is loosey goosey.   When in doubt, just put in a Samsonas in.
