A full motor is everything, you would expect inlet manifold/plenum and exhaust manifold attached, and maybe a the wiring loom

Long motor is the complete motor with head no manifolds

Short motor is the bottom end, no head attached....so sump, block, crank, rods, pistons etc etc only.

You only need the short motor for an rb30 conversion since you are going to put a decent head on it instead of the SOHC

There are a couple of different types of Rb30 engines. One is good for the conversion the other not.

One from a wrecker will not be rebuilt so you are taking a bit of a gamble.

Short motor means no head. An R32 head I dont think will bolt to the rb30 bottom end...

have rb25 head machined to fit rb30, mild porting and bigger than usual springs - $900 take it away

may seem like a bit, but that is machined AND ported already done for you

then just sell your stocker rb25 head on forums.

also have rb30 block. from series 2 vl calais - correct block for rb30det conversion. has 160,000kms on it - clean block. 200 for block ready to go.
