There seems to be quite a few scum bags getting on the SAU forums these days! I got ripped off by a little shit about a month ago now ... still trying to get the money back :)

it was very obvious.. he was a bad trader ages ago selling a r34 n1 engine for 3500$ taht wasnt even his, or offcoarse a scammer , they nver have the parts

3.5k id buy 5 of em.

plus, some silly idiot prob bought it, interstate and got jibbed

C.O.D is a stuff around and it can be very expensive. Obviously it is a safer way but you still dont know what is in the box until you pay to take it. Best to buy from members with more than 100 posts and check their history.

Anyone guy to watch out for from here is Melv.

Sold my mate a pair of tyre saying they were near new when in fact they were 5/6 yr old.. Two tyre places told us that the rubber had hardened and can not be fitted. He refuses to pay back any money.

Also he ripped off another person from here called Mines. Apparently he bought his GTR through Mines, to this day he still hasnt paid the full amount.

So yes.. watch out for Melv

If it's the melv i think he didn't buy his GTR locally... it was imported... He never seemed like the sort of guy to stuff people round...

If anyone would like proof im sure if you pm mines, im sure he is more then happy to tell you. Also im more then happy to forward the messages replies from then PMs i sent him.

likley story buddy, the wheels were practily brand new. and before your friend took them he looked over both wheels for 15min with a spot light !!!!!!!!!!

if u speek to mines ask him where my r34 n1 engine is also ask him where my cusco front diff is oh yeh and why not ask him where are my racing front pipes mmmm all of the above was promised when i took delivery of my car.

i wanted my money back but he wouldnt reply to any of those questions.

u want more info ? mines was using over 5 user names on here running a busness, dont u have to apply to sell stuff as a company on these forms ?

i try my best to be helpful and there is always someone trying to bring you down.

i personly changed and made over 40 SAU stickers for us qld'ers free to help the club out.

i won a fuel pump at the dyno comp hosted by mase and gave it back to help found this forums there.

i get f**ked around from the guy who sold me my car but i never mentioned a bad thing about him till just then ^^^^^ i still consider him a friend as he is in the group of ppl i hang out with now and then from another local trader.

near new? PFFT..

2 tyre shops told us that the model of tyre is about 5/6yrs old. Both tried to fit the tyre and both couldn’t get the pressure to hold. My friend is not a tyre specialist. Looking at the tyre with a spotlight doesn’t exactly reveal small cracks that form after the rubber hardens.

For you to turn around and tell us to contact the guy who sold you the tyres, is a load of sh*t. So what you are telling me is, if I buy a second-hand car and something goes wrong at the start, then I should go to the person who originally owned the car and not the guy who sold me the car?

For mines, I have only heard what he told me n now from what u told me. But u can’t tell me, from what I have experienced from you is exactly good. Sorry, but I would take mines words over yours.

I had asked a few ppl about u before I told my friend to buy the tyres. Word of mouth about you had been good until you screwed my friend.

    • My thinking is that if the O2 sensor is shot then your entire above described experience is pure placebo.
    • Here is the mess that I made. That filler there was successful in filling dents in that area. But in the middle area. I can feel dents. And I've gone ocer it multiple times with filler. And the filler is no longer there because i accidently sanded it away. I've chased my tail on this job but this is something else lol. So I'm gonna attempt filler one more time and if it doesn't work I'll just high fill primer the door and see where the issues are because guidecoat is of no use atm.
    • Ok, so I think I sort of figured out where I went wrong. So I definitely overthinked it, and I over sanded, which is probably a large part of the problem. to fix it, I ended up tapping some spots that were likely to be high, made them low, filled them in, and I tackled small sections at a time, and it feels a lot better.    I think what confused me as well is you have the bare metal, and some spots darker and some are lighter, and when I run my finger across it, it' would feel like it's a low spot, but I think it's just a transition in different texture from metal to body filler.    When your finger's sliding on the body filler, and crosses over to the bare metal, going back and forth, it feels like it's a low spot. So I kept putting filler there and sanding, but I think it was just a transition in texture, nothing to do with the low or high spot. But the panel's feels a lot better, and I'm just going to end up priming it, and then I'll block it after with guide coat.   Ended up wasting just about all of my filler on this damn door lol
    • -10 is plenty for running to an oil cooler. When you look at oil feeds, like power steering feeds, they're much smaller, and then just a larger hose size to move volume in less pressure. No need for -12. Even on the race cars, like Duncans, and endurance cars, most of them are all running -10 and everything works perfectly fine, temps are under control, and there's no restrictions.
    • Update: O2 sensor in my downpipe turned out to be faulty when I plugged in to the Haltech software. Was getting a "open circuit" warning. Tons of carbon buildup on it, probably from when I was running rich for a while before getting it corrected. Replaced with new unit and test drove again. The shuffle still happens, albeit far less now. I am not able to replicate it as reliably and it no longer happens at the same RPM levels as before. The only time I was able to hear it was in 5th going uphill and another time in 5th where there was no noticeable incline but applying more throttle first sped it up and then cleared it. Then once in 4th when I slightly lifted the throttle going over a bump but cleared right after. My understanding is that with the O2 sensor out, the ECU relies entirely on the MAP tune and isn't able to make its small adjustments based on the sensors reading. All in all, a big improvement, though not the silver bullet. Will try validating the actuators are set up correctly, and potentially setting up shop time to tune the boost controller on closed loop rather than the open loop it is set to now. Think if it's set up on closed loop to take the O2 reading, that should deal with these last bits. Will try to update again as I go.
