  1. Little bit late reply but if you have a cactus starter- getting slower until it gives up, try replacing the brushes holder plate. Same as the xtrail starter and available on eBay for less than 30 bucks delivered. Easy to replace- unscrew back plate and swap over. Fixed mine.
  2. So you driving this yet? Wondering how the hi stall is? Wondering if i need one after last night's drag racing stalling effort....10+ secs to get just over 3000rpm. Trouble is that it's the wife's car so need something that drives almost normally.
  3. Following this stage with great interest. I've for almost three same mods Brendan- and an EMU as well. I would love to go Link like Matthew has but at 3-3.5k tuned is just too much at the moment... and would be a massive over-capitalisation in my car. Having said that, I'll probably be disappointed with the EMU in the long run and and up going Link!
  4. R35 gtr injectors are a cheap upgrade and might be enough? Unless you're going e85.
  5. Well I've got a100 cell cat and a blitz nur 80mm exhaust and it's too quiet! But of drinking at 2500rpm which I might tune out of i cbf... So turbo smoke all gone with the fancy oil supply regulator?
  6. Yes but this time we're all keeping our fingers and toes crossed for you!
  7. Oooh 3k! Should be interesting to see what the normal driving is like. Should be pretty ors for the drag strip! They've got expensive though ... Must be a long time since I've checked the prices! Sigh. Another thing to add to the budget...
  8. Cool. Did you find an emanage that has been modified to eliminate the engine check light?
  9. Looking good. Will be very interested to see how the emanage goes- was thinking of that for mine. Who's going to tune it?
  10. Thanks for that. Set ordered.
  11. Hey Brendon (spelt your name right this time as I'm on my computer not the stupid autocorrecting phone!), I'm organising parts to do some preventative maintenance on my spare engine and am looking at valve stem seals... Partsouk has oem for 4.72 (& 4.26 on amayama) each, and I was also looking at Supertechs. Where did you get your supertechs from and are they the same as rb25det or similar? Have your parts come in yet? Cheers, Andy
  12. Yup, love that piston! Bore might be alright- fingers crossed. Nick at Allstar in malaga might be able to tune a Link... worth looking into seeing as a few people have had success with them. Certainly cheaper than haltech. Or go the emanage route?
  13. Eww. Looks like the rings have picked up bits of the piston edge as its burnt away there... The bore might clean up but that piston is fubar... Fingers crossed for the bore! I wouldn't have thought it would lean out that badly at 18psi... What fuel pump do you have? I only ask as I recently received a genuine Walbro from a verified seller... It was a fake. Fine for an excel but not for a thirsty birch like our Stageas! Looked very close but had the cheap plastic vanes instead of the metal pump gears.
  14. Keep on going! Good luck and will be interesting to see what's happened...
