  1. r33 gtst alternator fits my r32 GTST. (so in theory, if GTS4 fits GTR and GTS4 = GTST, then r33 gtst = GTR) I remember i needed to modify the battery terminal on the alternator i think? Not a big issue, any auto elec will change it over. bro tip: R33 alternator is newer and more powerful!

  3. As seen here for $549! https://www.caraudiowarehouse.com.au/new_site/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=5 Save $149! Need it gone! Thanks
  4. Item: PIONEER AVH-P3300BT http://www.pioneer.eu/eur/products/25/109/281/AVH-3300BT/index.html Price: $400.00 Pick up. Dont risk with overseas purchases and lost mail. Pick up from Victoria Location: Melbourne, Victoria Contact: PM or reply to thread. Purchased brand new from America, need to sell to pay bills Arrived today (19/08/11) Touch screen, dvd player, bluetooth, ipod connection etc etc read the website above. Best headunit available right now! Note: This DVD player is the EXACTLY the same as the Australian version (AVH-P3350BT), same appearance, features, functions, CD, FM radio e.t.c. There are only 2 differences between this model, and the Australian model. AM stations end with a 0. E.g. 954kHz becomes 950kHz, 1269kHz becomes 1270kHz and so on. A difference of 1-5kHz is barely noticeable. The DVD player is set at region 1. It will play everything except for original Australian DVD's, it will play ALL other format exactly the same, DivX, VCD, copied DVD's, MP3's etc, that's why most customers don't notice any difference. If you have an original DVD all you have to do is make a copy of it as region free or DivX format, which is easy to do on any computer, and it will work on this DVD player. It's not safe to keep original DVD's in the car anyway so for the small effort it's definitely worth the money you save!
  5. Look at your front windscreen. There should be a thin line going down the middle and around the window. Did you have your front windscreen replaced? Could explain the dodgy reception
  6. This site has a lot of info about aerodynamics. Just do a search. Here is one example; http://autospeed.com.au/cms/A_2456/article.html?popularArticle Now..someone explain why Nissan made this a factory option (drops down at 80km/h+)
  7. Link to Thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/364330-r32-gtst-roll-call/page__p__5813325__fromsearch__1#entry5813325 I tried to round up the remaining r32 owners in Vic. There arent a lot (or they all hiding/broken) You'd be hard pressed to organise a club. Better off organising a meet or catch-up through SAU.
  8. in the engine bay pic, there are rubber strut top covers. Where did you get them from? Are they the same as the covers on the rear struts? Cheers
  9. How'd you go about making the cooler ducting? Need to do that for my SMIC!
  10. Have read a couple of other car forums about drag racing. The majority say that proper take-off on drags involve a lot of riding the clutch. To control wheel spin you ride the clutch, not back off the accelerator. Get used to the smell of clutch if you want a great take-off
  11. ah yep. So; Grey = Button 1 Org/blk = Button 2 And they share a common return to the deck? The headunit socket only appears to have 2 wires..(no third common return?) sounds like a good idea. Looks like i'll be pursuing this adventure alone then!
  12. thanks for the input. Perhaps you could investigate it on your r32 project Any chance you got wiring diagram of the r32? Want to see if there is more than 1 wire coming off the factory radio buttons. Thanks
  13. hmm...found this; http://www.jvde.net/pioneer_wired_remote/pioneer_wired_remote.htm
  14. According to this; http://www.pac-audio.com/PACProductData/SWI-PS/1_Instructions/swi-ps_instructions_072309.pdf The PAC SWI-PS can be used. However, each seperate radio button needs to be wired with resistors in parallel? http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_18027_PAC-SWI-PSv1-New-Version-of-SWI-PS.html Is there a cheaper options available?
  15. Hello, I have purchased a pioneer headunit with "Hard wired remote input". The R32 has two buttons on the dash; AM/FM and Tune There is a black socket located on the radio loom. As seen on the picture, the black socket has 2 wires. (i havent traced them back, but i'd assume they would be 1 for each button) Does anyone know how to make this work with Pioneers Hard wired remote input? It looks like a need a hard-wired remote control adapter? Thanks
  16. SPAL FAN PWM V3 - http://www.spalusa.com/store/Main.aspx?p=itemdetail&item=FAN-PWM-V3 Best thermofan controller on the market. Tapped into the factory coolant water temp sensor and programmed it from there. ASI radiator off ebay. $200 cheapie. Had to get the drain valve retapped. And the thermofans i got are Flex-a-lite 410 http://www.frsport.com/Flex-A-Lite-410-420-Dual-12-inch-Puller-Auto-Electric-Fans-2500-CFM_p_12555.html Thinnest on the market (and expensive too )
  17. yeah the cheapest option. Tried to say some coin by buying a cheap radiator but got dudded for not fitting. Spent $500~ on thermofans and controller to make it all work haha However, whilst crusing & spirited driving, water temps stay on 78degrees. When come to a stop, thermofans programmed to start 1 fan at 50% when 82degrees. Doesnt move unless im stuck in traffic for ages. Might crawl up to 85degrees~. When reaches 89degrees, both fans turn on at 100% to bring it back down to 80degrees.
  18. I fit a 52mm radiator into mine. Had to buy the thinnest thermofans on the market. Flex-a-lite Powersteering line got in the way, had to make custom line and bend it off to the left.

  21. lol at judging all FWD cars under your experience of an Astina which was never designed as a sports car. To all the haters out there, i'll give you something to think about. Honda Integra Type-R (DC2R). Dont judge all FWD cars by your experience in some econo-family FWD car. Would be no different to juding all RWD cars by your experience in a falcon or commodore.
