  1. from what ive read, when a turbo is hiflowed it is replaced with a larger steel wheel. I dont think a ceramic wheel can handle high amounts of boost pressure which these hiflows are built for
  2. You can recondition your turbo where they just replace all the old parts with new parts (will make same power as before just be more reliable) or you can hiflow the turbo where they replace all the worn parts with larger brand new parts (will make more power and more reliable)
  3. rb25 box sells around $1200-$1800 for a second hand one. You'll also need some slight customizations to make it work in a r32 too, but i think there are several threads discussing this already
  4. All my gears in my rb20 box are notchy when shifting in. I try to rev-match so its a smoother change Reverse gear sometimes locks me out and have to depress clutch and try again. If you want to rebuild your rb20 gearbox, it will be around $900 trade-in. http://www.japanesegearbox.com.au/intro.html Located in Rowville. Last time i was there they had about 10 fully rebuild rb20 boxes on display. I think they also said an extra $150 for gearbox swap Give them a shot if you decide on swapping. Although with 260kw~ might be better to get a 2nd hand rb25 gearbox as they are much stronger. Although im in the same position and cant decide wether a 2nd hand rb25 gearbox is better than a brand new rb20 box Hope that helps Cheers Patrick
  5. yes thats the one hehe, i knew it started with the letter A. Thanks Awesome!, 5 minutes up the road for me! Will drop by during the week Any estimates on the price im looking at? cheers
  6. Hey, Just purchased a 2nd hand hiflow and would like to get it cleaned and checked before its installed. Does anyone know any turbo repair/recondition workshops located in Melbourne (around the south-east section?) I know there is a turbo place on princes hwy towards Caulfield but cant remember the name. (its a small green shop?) Anyone know any shops around dande, bayswater, SE area etc? Thanks Patrick

  9. sounds like your blend door motor (which controls the hot/cold flap) might not be working. Get into the passenger feet area, and try look behind the dash where the headunit is. Mash the hot/cold button quickly and see if you can see a metal rod moving. If it doesnt move, poke around the wiring loom and it might start working again.
  10. apparently O'brians can get a 3rd party windscreen with built in antenna for about $600~ Thats what they told me, doesnt hurt to ask them
  11. cheers for tip, still learning how to use the camera
  12. ciggie lighter will be messy with cables, im thinking more of; 1. Buy usb cig charger for $5; http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk307/i...ter_White_1.jpg 2. Pull it apart 3. Hardwire 12v wire to the charger 4. Hide it behind the headunit 5. Plug usb hardrive Correct?
  13. nah they were expecting it, as they mention storage up to 250gb. Doing some research reveals; "Some 2.5" USB hard drives require up 900mA to start up, more than 500mA a USB port can provide; so, they will require a second USB cable just for borrowing power or a AC adapter" So i would need to connect up a second power source for the 2nd usb connection on the portable hdd. Either a cigerette lighter usb port or hard wire somehow from a 12v wire... Anyone done anything similar to this?
  14. Hey, My friend has a brand new Pioneer headunit (6050UB) with USB connectivity. The manual says it supports up to 250gb as long as its in FAT16 or FAT32 format... We formatted two hard drives to FAT32 using partition magic and it doesnt seem to detect the hard-drives... USB pen drive's work straight away.. Both external laptop hard-drives have a secondary usb connection for more power. Do both USB connected have to be connected for it to work on the headunit? It can run fine on the computer with only 1 USB connected.. Anyone know how to format the hard drives so they work? Thanks Patrick

  25. Out Of Interest: Do you take special precautions about where to park your car? yes; Is it different whether it's day or night? Always park near camera's and lights and always paid parking. Do you think about this before you even take your car out/to visit anyone? nup Do you even think about whether or not your front lip will get over a gutter? Always reverse park to avoid scraping front bar At your destination, do you even need to park your car out of sight? not really Do you avoid Carparks where your car door could get dented? Yep, always try and park next to a concrete pole or a wall, 50% chance of not getting a dint from person next to me Have you ever parked in a spot, only to find that the slot is too small so you re-park it elsewhere? nup, r32 is a small car Do you even avoid front-to-rear parking in case some ignorant so&so might shave your bumper? I try to park away from everyone else
