  1. Easiest way is to solder the wires off the cigerette lighter. The cig lighter has a ring which lights up when you turn on the lights. Cig light also has ground. Pull off the plastic stereo shroud so u have access to the back of the lighter. Pull off the cig lighter wire clip and test with a multi-meter which one is ground and which one is power etc There is a two-wire plug (+ve & earth) for the lighter and a single wire for the light in the socket. It's important to be careful removing these wires as the single-pin one for the light is fragile and may break. More info here http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...em-t204874.html
  2. its an easy way; 1. Jack up the front right wheel of the car. 2. Unscrew the plastic guard liner, closest to the firewall 3. Pull down the plastic guard liner and out of the way. 4. You will now see a rubber grommet with a loom going through. This is where you want to shove your amp wiring through. 5. Get a long screwdriver and try and poke through the rubber. 6. Feed the amp power cable through the hole you just made. 7. It will pop out to the right of the accelerator pedal. (pull off the drivers side kickpanel for easier access) Tricky part is feeding in the amp cable as it will flex as you try push it through. Once you've done that just run the wiring through rest of car. Here are some pics of my installation; Drivers side door; Fat power cable, amp cable and front door speaker wire Running up into the boot; Passenger side door; RCA cables and speaker wire Running up into the boot If i had to do it again, i would run the RCA cables through the centre console as its real easy to pull it off. It was tricky to squeeze 3 sets of rca cables along the door sil lol If you get a meaty power cable it will also be tricky running it through the door sil. Also ive heard that taking off the black plate (seperating boot to cabin) will make the sub sound louder for you.

purple r33 gtr crossing Napolean & Kellets road at 8:19am today. I was the black r32 waiting at the light
  4. Press the re-circulate button when you have the climate control off. It will stop any unwanted flow of air from vents. Normal in r32's and r33's for air to waft through the vents
  5. The vicroads sticker should have the unladen weight of the car. This is also the same weight used for police to check if its high powered vehicle. So dont get it confused with the kerb weight when arguing with a cop
  6. which banjo bolts are smaller? the oil only, or the water only? Cheers Patrick
  7. mine says 1250, and the cop used that weight + my estimate of 158kw to try pin me on high powered vehicle law
  8. What did you enter into Nissan Fast? Interested to have a look my self. cheers
  9. oki, turns out that redtop rb20 turbo's have a smaller banjo bolt. Hence why my silvertop water lines dont fit into the hiflow. This explains why your rb20 turbo didnt fit your car, as the silvertop rb20/rb25 have larger oil lines than redtop rb20's. In order to fix, all i need to get is redtop water lines So nissan was technically right in regards to an older turbo. (older than r32) Case closed Thanks
  10. edit;just found out the water feed/return lines were too large for the hiflow; not the oil line. Sorry for the mixup
  11. Hey, Ive recently picked up a hiflow rb20 turbo to put into my 1993 r32 gtst. Half way through swap-over, turns out that my standard oil feed banjo bolt was LARGER than the hole in the hiflow.. Thus raising the question; Did the rb20 turbo come with different size banjo bolt? Is the series 1 (1989-1991) r32 rb20 banjo bolt the same? Is the cefiro rb20 banjo bolt smaller/larger? Trying to work out why the hole is smaller edit: the housing has the numbers "16v5" on it. From what ive read, the "5" refers to the year of production. Can anyone confirm this? Also, a bonus question; what info should i provide pirtek/enzed with when making a new oil/water lines. Can i show up with the hiflow and tell them to match a bolt for the hole + lines? What length should I get for both lines? kthnxbye
  12. didnt starcorp copy the IMPUL's hence they call them starcorp impuls?

  18. nah not final year project, 3rd year semester project. The person pulling the strings is the boss setting up the factory, so the lecturers have no clue in regards to dyno testing etc
  19. I got mine rebuilt for $100 in Victoria. They charge another $100 to remove/fit back on. If you can do the removal/fitting then it will only set you back $100~ to replace seals etc
  20. thanks for the help guys, The uni project is for a company planning on setting up a bio-diesel factory. So the company is supplying the truck & costs for all testing etc. From research, 100% biodiesel creates a tiny loss of power and loss of fuel economy when compared to petro-diesel. Want to prove this with our own dyno testing.
  21. oh bummer what a shame. You had so many treasures in that garage! Please tell me they didnt take the r32 light panel!!
  22. Hey, Doing a uni project; We creating bio-diesel and testing it in a truck we have been donated. Anyone know a dyno place which accepts trucks? Also need an emissions place to test the difference between petro-diesel and bio-diesel. Thanks

  24. Spotted a white HSV W427 driving down westal road. Trader plates and a person wearing a holden shirt. Probably doing a run in/test run before sale. Sounded mean as and it wasnt even being pushed!
  25. an rb25 turbo on a rb20det will push around 180-190kw depending on tune (sometimes hit 200kw depending on dyno) I currently have a hiflow rb20 turbo which will be getting installed next week along with a tune. I'll let you know how much power I will gain with the hiflow. Although there are different stages of hiflow so it depends how much you willing to spent to get it past 200kw Some info here; http://www.billetturbochargers.com/Turbo_r...and_hiflows.ews
