  1. yeah it was a mobile speed camera car with its hazzard lights on. It was up a hill too, thought they can only snap photos on a flat stretch of road.. the one i saw had the gt3 writing on the side of the car
  2. saw a yellow GT3 on springvale road turning onto princes hwy (towards dandenong) last friday at around 5:40pm~ Only saw the side of it, so didnt catch the number plates. Thanks for the tip of ftg construciton. I drive through that stretch of road nearly twice a day. Thought cops couldnt book you for speeding if its up/down a hill? Guess they laser you on the straight stretch near the train museum/farm etc.. I remember one time there was a car with emergency lights flashing parked up the hill. Had a speed camera fixed to the front bar..really shifty
  3. picked up a rare toy there hehe, never heard of a rb20 r34 before! I wonder if the gearbox would be a direct bolt-on to a r32..
  4. At least you didnt get charged any GTR tax, i heard its usually double GTST tax
  5. hahaha i see it! Took me a couple of re-reads to pick it up. I guess we all have too much skylines on our minds very nice mistake

woohoo spotted!!111 twas me most likely. Dropping off brother to highschool and then shell petrol station, then up to wellington road Where you the white r33 with no sau stickers?
  8. An R33 alternator is a direct bolt-on onto a r32 rb20 engine (apart from the battery bolt terminal but thats easily replaced by auto-electrician) If a VL alternator is the same as a r32 alternator, then it should fit your r33.. Bosch Australia charges about $250~ for a brand new R31 alternator, so a price of $340 for a rebuild is a rip off. If you pull out the alternator for him, it should only cost about $150-$200 to rebuild
  9. Hey, Noticed a slight problem with my r32 gtst. What happens is; if i take the car for a drive (20-30min peak hour drive etc) Then park it and turn off the engine. Then start the car after 5-10 minutes. And let the car idle stationary in traffic. The idles drop below 500rpm and the idle starts going up and down and sounds like its missfiring. Once i get some space to move forward, the car is real hesitant (feels like ignition timing drops to 7~ or not building any boost in first gear.) Once i shift into 2nd gear everything is back to normal... I noticed this problem after replacing my O2 sensor with a new NGK sensor, but i have my doubts its related to that? Also, ive noticed on cold morning startups/drives, the ignition timing tends to drop to 7 whilst driving and you can feel the hesitation. After the car is warmed up, this doesnt happen, so im assuming its just the ecu running on cold start mode, but it has never been this obvious in the past 2 years.. At one point, i had an ecu error of faulty knock sensors appear, but cannot seem to get the same outcome again. Car has new splitfire coilpacks, ignition module, new battery & new alternator. So im sure it aint an electrical issue. Im thinking its either the o2 sensor or the ecu? Cheers Patrick
  10. whoh thats a real nice photo. Permission to use on recustoms website?

    Some1 Help Me Out

hehe they hard to find. You'd think there would be a mass pile of them due to everyone getting bodykits
  12. Ferntree Gully Nissan you say...thats an interesting one..Live around the corner from them How much do they usually charge for a minor service? I thought dealerships would always charge a lot..

  14. Cost of turbo installation at a workshop is around the $150 - $300. It varies a lot between mechanics, better off just calling a couple of mechanics you're thinking of going to and asking.
  15. haha i was just about to reply with that link. I just went ahead with a replacement R32 rack.. Let us know if the r33 rack will fit, but looking at the FAST screenshots, there are some slight differences. Cheers
  16. The majority of intercooler kits for sale require a hole cut near the battery tray to pass the outlet fmic pipe to the manifold. Police do not like this in Victoria, and can defect you on it. An alternative is to buy a return feed fmic, whereby the intercooler piping follow the same way as the factory sidemount intercooler. JustJap sells a return feed kit; http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Co...er-t209304.html Problem with any front mount is, if you have a electronic front spoiler on your front bar, it will need to be removed. Along with some possibly shaving the front bar, fan etc to fit the fmic in. The foglight issue will possibly vary on the intercooler kit and your own installation. Some people hack up their whole front bar to install one, where as some manage to fit it in perfectly. Hopefuly someone with foglights and fmic would be able to comment on their installation. However, another option it to upgrade the factory Sidemount intercooler with a larger one. The r34 sidemount intercooler is alot bigger than the factory r32 smic. Unfortunately, the r32 isnt as lucky as the r33 and isnt a direct bolt on. The r34 smic outlet would need to be welded on the other side of the smic and might require some modifying to the standard r32 pipe.
  17. Emailed superpro about the problem and never heard back from them. Great customer support Cheers cazman for the comment about the nolathane, might pick up a set if they the same as whiteline.
  18. yeah the driver looked like some young punk Honestly, i expected that ferrari to sound better..sounded like a lancer with an exhaust. But you were probably rolling in neutral or something haha you'll have to prove me wrong one time
  19. black convertible ferrari with rego plates starting with letter B. Was on springvale road and turned onto princes hwy at around 6pm~
  20. I reckon the trailer should be based off the following design
  21. Be aware that series 2 r32 steering wheels arent interchangeable with series 1 r32's. Judging by the pics, he is selling a series2 steering wheel, so it should fit 1991-1993 r32's. Easy way to tell the difference is the horn button; Series1: shiney plastic Series2: same material as the steering wheel.

    Turbo Rebuild

$1500 is the price to hi-flow your standard turbo. Did he mention anything about adding larger steel wheels?
  24. if he had a computer tune, then the car would be running even more efficient. As with stock computers, it just dumps in fuel causing it to run rich... Usually boost comes in at 3000rpm+, so driving below 3000rpm is no hassle. The r33 gtst and r34 gtt would have better fuel economy than r32's...
  25. forgot to mention, the turbo is sold. Please close, thanks
