  1. whats the legalities of rims/tyres like these? is it that the tread pattern of the tyre has to be under the guards? or is it the rim which needs to be under?

  3. whoh thats an awesome photo! I had enough trouble taking my dodgy photos haha. I was wondering if the socket can be pulled off, i tried to but it seems quite firm. Perhaps once its pulled off it could be cleaned with some contact cleaner to provide a better connection..

  7. Plenty of R32 GTST's have a problem where the climate control only blows hot air or cold air. Even whilst cycling through the temperatures, the air doesnt seem to change. First step is to check if everything is fine with your climate control; Follow the below steps, if everything is fine, your problem might be the connection to the blend-door servo motor (read further below) The r32 has a common problem of the Blend Door Servo Motor to stop working. This is due to the connection to the motor becoming damaged over time. Solution; - Go to the passenger foot well area. - look up where the feet air vent is. - There you should see a metal rod and a plastic clip. If the rod has fallen off, clip it back into position. - Cycle through the hot/cold temp buttons on the climate control quicky and check if you can see the metal rod moving. This rod controls the blend door. - If the rod doesnt move, then the blend door servo motor is the fault. - Just before the metal rod, is a wire loom connected to a socket - Wiggle the wire loom whilst pressing the temp up/down buttons. The Blend door motor will then respond and move. - I used some cable ties to create some pressure on the loom. This is just a temp fix, and will not last forever.. Best would be to replace the blend door servo motor and/or harness. Repair Guide: If anyone has replaced their blend door servo motor, please post in regards to how difficult it was. Hope this has helped some r32 owners with their climate control problems Cheers Patrick
  8. Pictures are requested; 1. 2. 3. As you can see; white clip with metal rod. This rod can sometimes unclip from the white holder. This rod moves the blend door. If the rod has fallen off, just reconnect it. 4. This is the socket for the blend door servo motor. This socket seems to lose connection with the motor. Hence why the motor doesnt respond to temp changes. Push the wireloom up and/or to the side whilst pressing the hot/cold buttons on the climate control. You will then see the rod moving if its the socket problem. As you can see, i used a zip tie to apply some pressure on the loom.
  9. the problem is the blend door servo motor. Mine works sometimes and sometimes it doesnt. Press the socket in properly and it will work fine for a while. I'll try get some pictures

  14. common problem in r32's. A search would have found solutions, but anyways; 1. Hot air no matter what temperature; The r32 has a common problem of the Blend Door Servo Motor to stop working. This is due to the connection to the motor becoming lose. Solution; - Go to the passenger foot well area. - look up behind the headunit (where the feet air vent is) - There you should see a metal rod and a plastic clip. - Cycle through the hot/cold temp buttons quicky and check if you can see the metal rod moving. This rod controls the blend door which controls the hot/cold. - If the rod doesnt move, then the blend door servo motor is the fault. - Just before the metal rod, is a wire loom connected to a white socket (right infront of your face) - Wiggle the white socket whilst pressing the up/down buttons. The Blend door motor will then respond and move. - What i did was used some cable ties to create some pressure on the white socket. 2. Hot air coming through airvents Common problem in both R32's and R33's. Air still passes through the airvents to what ever the last temperature was. In your case, it is stuck on hot, hence hot air wafting through. Solution - Press the Recirc button when the climate control is turned off. (the button next to the front window demister) - The button will light up green, but the display will still be off. - No more air coming through vents Let us know how it goes Cheers Patrick
  15. haha, wasnt too impressed over the autoglym super resin polish. $30 for 375ml's expected a real good cut. Although reading some fine print on the internet, they say to do 2-3 coats of the polish to get a good result. Although it be quite hard to squeeze 3 coats out of a 300ml bottle...
  16. rattling sounds, broken dash lights, sagging bodykit. Lucky you dont have a r32 as these are the norm haha Im so used to it, when i jump into a newer car its too quiet for me If everyone paid attention for any new srattles in their car, im sure there would be more alert people on the roads

no worries, i live around the corner from there and they know me well. If any issues im happy to help cant wait for the discounts ^^,
  18. Thanks for the comment if you run your fingers over the paintwork on your car, you might feel a lot of bumps which you cant see. Claybar is a peice of clay which you slide across the paint which sticks to these bumps(microscopic dirt/imperfections) and pulls them out of the paint. Leaving a real smooth paint afterward.

  23. yeah i think thats why he let me off, cause it be a bit tight to fine me for 1kw over. Although he still defected me on the night haha This was our friendly knox tmu who let me off, so he isnt that bad!1 apart from saying he will fine me if i stacked it
  24. hehe over msn, but i prefer to have it in writing on sau as its easier to point the finger if it doesnt fit Although being admin/mod you can always delete your response
  25. how many points did you lose? what about the fine? i heard it can be a maximum of $1000? I currently am on P's and own a r32 gtst. The r32 gtst is in a grey area where no one really knows if its legal or not. Due to the different weight and power between series 1 and series 2 models. Although if you cant convince the police officer its legal, then you'll probably get fined... The police officer who pulled me over used my vicroads weight (1250kg) and my power estimate of 158kw factory. He whipped out his pocketPC and did the math which came out to be 126kw/tonne (limit being 125kw/tonne) He let me off due to the 1kw over but said if i crashed it, insurance wont cover me and he will fine me then lol How nice of him So yeah, no way in hell the r32 weighs 1250kg, more like 1280kg+. Next time i will just say 157kw instead of 158 and his calculator will show legal limit Im sure i can argue a 1kw power loss over 15yrs
