  1. That is true, but you're blessed with E85. I'm stuck with pump fuel that was why I wanted to see what would be a safe limit. Depends on the dyno really. Mine maxed out at 615whp at 1.6bar. Posted a dyno sheet on RB30 thread.
  2. I have the same issue, problem is I bought (what was advertised) a rebuilt alternator with completely new internals and had it shipped all the way here. Is the blown diode easy to repair? Or should I just live with this? I live in Dubai so shipping the alternator back to the US and having it replaced is not feasible.
  3. Fully built RB30/26. PTE 6266. Tomei Poncams. 98 RON Pump Fuel. 485whp @ 0.9 bar 615whp @ 1.6 bar (Forgive me for the stupid torque axis, was too excited after the tune haha)
  4. Cool, let's see what 1.8 bar has to say.
  5. Hello guys, I have a built RB30 with a 26 head and a PTE6266, I only have access to 98RON pump fuel. I am currently pushing it to just under 1.6 bar with no pinging but am itching to push it even further. What do you guys think? Would a low 8's Static CR take 1.8 bar on 98 pump fuel? Any feedback/experience would be appreciated Cheers, Sam
  6. How far are you guys pushing your 6266 on pump fuel. I only have access to 98 RON here and pushing around 1.7 bars on my rebuilt 26/30. I'm so tempted to push it to 2 bars with RB30/26's low compression.
  7. That's good to hear! What turbo were you running and at what PSI if I may ask.
  8. I would go with a larger turbine housing if I were you. I wouldn't restrict such an awesome setup with that 0.84
  9. What do you guys reckon the limit of a 6266 would be on pump gas (98 RON) and no Meth Injection? And at what PSI?
  10. Try and get a quote from Raw Brokerage (look for Ricky, tell him the RB'd G in Dubai sent you lol). I got the same exact one a few hundred dollars cheaper.
  11. Here's a video of my 6266 on the rollers earlier today. We'll be hitting the dyno again soon.
  12. I would do a 6262 with a split 0.63 (450ish) or 0.84 (500ish)
  13. I would personally run a 1.00 ar on a 6466. I feel the 0.84 is more suited for a 6266.
  14. I'm mostly running the surge tank because of the poor design of the V36 coupe's OEM tank, had a lot of fuel starvation under hard cornering and in high boost at times. I'm running a 6266 turbo and want to ensure enough fuel delivery and leave some room for future needs.
  15. Thanks for the assurance mate! I will do that. I'm building a custom 4L tank fed by an intank Aeromotive 340LPH that feeds two 044's, should be enough I believe.
  16. True that, but what happens when you're sitting idle in traffic?
  17. Sorry for bumping an old thread but while on the topic of surge tanks, those of you running external surge tanks and pumps, do you do any sort of thermal insulation to them to keep the exhaust heat away from them? How far away from the muffler are your surge tanks generally? I'm thinking of running one between my mufflers but I'm worried things may get a little hot down there.
  18. Google brought me back here! What a crazy machine! How much power is it making?
  19. Man this oil restrictor business is no fun. Too much to read and endless opinions lol
  20. Mine's being fitted as I type, I'll keep you posted 6266 DBB - 0.84 divided T4 housing on an RB30/26
  21. Do you guys drain your oil catch back to the sump? My mechanic left it wiggle in open air as he believes hooking it into the sump will force oil in the wrong direction. Or should I just block it off and fit a small filter on it?
