  1. +1 to this. Couldn't of said it better. Boost Worx are excellent, great work, reasonable prices. Last time I was there they were extremely busy. The garage was packed with 32's, 33's, supra's ect. I waited 4 or 5 hr+ to pick up my car which was only getting a service.... And didn't complain. Garages can be like hospitals, some patients/cars get priority over others depending on the severity of the work and how urgent it is. My suggestion, stick with with Boost Worx, No more 'heat of the moment' threads, learn to relax. Quality may take time, unless you don't have time for quality? If that's the case... ******! 2. Thats awesome! Hey, were the first few pics taken at port Adelaide? Old woolsheds?
  3. All I know is there is a certain corner coming off a highway exit I take 4 times a week. When HICAS is off, it's a 80km/h corner. When HICAS is on I can take the corner a 100km/h. I've attempted the corner at 100km/h with HICAS off (just for the sake of the experiment, to see if HICAS did make a difference or not) and it was only just sticking it. HICAS on, and it takes it with ease. But from what I've read sounds like others do not have the same experience with HICAS? Fair call.
  4. Do ppl who put these lock out kits in, only do it to improve track performance, or do ppl experience issues with the HICAS on everyday road use? I've never tracked my car, but I do know that when I engage HICAS on the road, I can take corners up to 20 km/h faster then when it is disengaged. So just curious as to why do many ppl install lock out kits? I personally think HICAS is excellent, but like I said, never tracked my 34.
  5. Mine are exactly the same. Was just gonna wait to replace the shocks with aftermarkets, was kinda hoping new dust boots came with the shocks? After reading above I'm not sure? Guess I'll just find out before I purchase any.
  6. I thought The round tail lights would of been a dead give away?
  7. R32 GTST Curb Weight 1320 KG R33 GTST Curb Weight 1360 KG R34 GTT Curb Weight 1410 Kg Looks like I may be wrong on the weight issue. My mistake. Overall both cars are great. Also found this: The R32 version was nippy and ight weight and had a nippy racey feel, against the R33 which was heavier to the R32 but the engine was stronger and felt less nippy around town but more hardcore on the open road. And offered more internal room. The R34 was a mix of then the R32 and the R34 the nippy R32 feel mixed with the hardcore R33 feel. So overall the R34 is the better of them both, but the R33 is a great car and also features different specs with the 400R being the limited edition version. The GTR's came with a 5 and 6 speed manual box. Both feature the super highly tunable RB26dett although with the R34 version offering more torque. Car wise the R34 is very expensive to buy Worldwide against the R33 which is older and lower in price. Parts wise and upgrades you have to look at the bigger picture as the GTR models have always been the expensive versions to buy and you will find more parts and upgrades out there for the GTS GTS-T GT GTT versions as these are the cheaper options of the Skyline range and offer a mix of non turbo to single turbo engines in different sizes, due to being a cheaper car to buy means there are many about and hence more tuning and body kits are produced for these cars, the single turbo versions offer good turbo fun there is an R33 Rb25det in my town running at dyno 800bhp. Which one do i prefer ultimate would be the R34 but i am on my second Skyline this time being an R33 spec 2 gts-t which gives me a smile every time i drive it and is a head turner with people taking pics and vids and asking me daily about my car,and i have the option to add more bhp and a mass of other modifications. So i am happy with what i have and to be fair either GTR will see you right and make you very happy,The R34 offers a more modern car to the already modern R33 version, but cost alot more for just another good car. Cost wise depends where you live as modifications are due to any country to meet its road regs.and US wise each state has its own requirements some more and some less than other states. Also an R33 GTR until beaten by an R32 Skyline owned the World AWD drag record.
  8. The answer was to the question "who would buy these (thrashed out) cars." Not in relation to EVERY 33. Only the sh*t boxes.
  9. I'm talking about him asking if a GTR was a good daily and ends up on the verge of being flamed for it. That's what I'm on about. Just seems no need for it, That's all... No matter how stupid the question is.
  10. I'm extremely interested in who buys this car, what will be done with it and how much it will sell for. I love the idea of the original apple laptop still being hooked up to it as well. Awesome.
  11. No matter how stupid the question may sound, at least he is asking and trying to find out the answers, instead of just going out and doing things blindly and looking like a clown. Ppl who are just seeking info (no matter how stupid or simple the question may be) are simply doing just that.... Seeking info, and shouldn't be criticized for it. Take it as a compliment that ppl starting out in the skyline world would ask you for the answers to their questions.
  12. 34 hands down. Forget about price. Besides, owning the last GTR model ever badged as a skyline would be pretty cool. But I just don't like 33's so for me the choice would be easy!
  13. I have a R34 GTT. My stock boost gauge decides when it will and won't work. Sometimes it works fine, look back at it 60 seconds later and it's dropped out again! Lol. I had a read of a thread on here that spoke about the stock boost gauges and how they are notorious for only working sometimes. Apparently the wiring to the gauges isn't the best... The wiring in general is pretty shit house in the cars from what others say. Lol. I thought about taking things apart and re-soldering wires to try and get it working full time, but decided it may lead to more trouble then it's worth (like losing all my gauges) so I left it alone and haven't worried about it since. That and the fact the stock boost gauges a mega inaccurate. Better of installing a aftermarket boost gauge. As for help On how to fix your problem..... Not sure? Worse comes to worse... Auto elec. Sometimes little things can turn into big things, and unless it's truly effecting the cars drivability, it's most likely best left untouched. Either way, let me know how you go.
  14. Great way to get some good info on someones car before u knock it off. "my name, address, date of birth and occupation"....... Umm NO! Surprised my key card details weren't asked for. Lol.
  15. +1 on this. No skyline (regardless of model) will ever be a sleeper. No matter how stock it looks.
  16. +1 to all these statements. Always loving the skyline it was inevitable that I would finally own one. Like others have said, besides the history of this iconic car, they are a buzz to own and drive. And also the good definitely out weighs the bad. I love these cars.
  17. I would never buy a car online without seeing it in person. but if I was to do it I would only deal with a known trusted business or importer. There are a lot of skylines out there, and a lot a shit box's. Take your time, don't rush it, look around and you'll end up with a nice car. Make sure you see/drive any car you potentially want to purchase.
  18. LOL!! Agreed! Considering Carsales.com is easier to use then FB, I'm surprised he can't figure it out! Bahahaha!!!
  19. I stand corrected! Lol. I must admit I have only ever looked at the tail lights when the headlights are on, not just high beam, I just assumed high beam would do the same. But you should never assume. Hahaha I've always done as a precaution... Now I won't look like a fool for braking up hill! LOL!
  20. I LOVED VL's when I was like 10. I thought they were the sh*t! Lol You gotta put it in to perspective tho, the VL was '87 Compared to fords XD (correct me If I'm wrong) which DID look like crap. So at the time they were considered by many as a awesome looking car, group A body kits Along with the walkinshaw body kit made it a highly sort after car... Not to mention the RB30. Some also came turbo'd. But yeah, first year of high school I couldn't stop starring at boobies..... Oh and the year 12's VL commodores! Lol. Now I look at them and think... To old, look at there owners and think 'why?'...there a dinosaur. I understand what you mean.
