Big thanks to Waxit and Antonio for taking the time to show us how to maintain our cars in the correct way, thanks for all the comments about my GTR as well, its good to see the hours of me being pedantic about it pays off!!! I like many others, emptied my pockets again in the showroom, there is just so much I wanted and had to have!!! I'll be in for the next one...

I wish I could drive mine more often, I am lucky if I drive it once a month and I have had the car for more than 2 years.. I just can't bring myself to drive it around other people in traffic or on short trips, so I only every take her out when I there is an SAU meet or I am heading away for the weekend.

Well I can say that my wheels are on with 275/30/19 and they only rub on full lock turning left.. The wheels are 19 x 10.5 +11 and they fronts are as as big as I would go, they are almost flush with the guards

Hey buddy, I just sent you a pm, I have two near new mufflers at home which I tested on my car, one is the magnaflow you were looking at and the other is an Apexi N1 cannon. I cant be stuffed advertising them but if you were interested let me know. Cheers Dave -
Thanks I agree, I'll stick with 285 even 275 depending on what is available.

As Nathan said above, I was there yesterday and they have heaps of TE37's to check out. I was only going to go 285/30/19 but does anyone know if the 295/30/19 will be ok on a 10.5 wheel +11? my car has only been lowered 30mm but I am a little concerned that the tyre will rub? Thanks Dave

I just bought a set of 19 x 10.5 +11 for my 34R. Should be fitting them next week but I would not personally go any bigger.

hmmm, hopefully my car will be finished by then. I wouldn't mind entering.

It doesn't seem like its going to be hard to return your car to stock for the test, it could have been a lot worse. Lucky you don't have injectors etc. Just make sure your car has a legal db, take out the AVCR and if you have an old paper filter around slap it in. I doubt they would even check the filer, they didnt when I went through years ago.
-
Thats a load of crap, saying things like that just makes you not trust anything that has come out of their mouth. I was told it was there on consignment until they bought it off the previous owner for heaps less than that.
-
I think you are right about the mods, I seem to remember it having turbos etc as well, it now seems to be more standard.
-
Looks to be a V-Spec, still not worth 55k
-
Over priced for a stockish GTR, I hear around the traps that they actually paid a lot less than that for the car.. Seems like a neat example though, looks much better with the stock wheels as well

Guys, I am trying to decide which clutch to put in my R34 GTR, I am planning for about 300rwkw. I am not interested in track work and would only launch it on rare occasions. Do you all think I could get away with an Exedy cushion button single plate? My other option is a Nismo Coppermix Twin, but I don't want an Nismo unless I have to as I would rather not spend the extra money unless I had to. The Exedy is about $700 - $800 and the Nismo is $2800, so you can see my problem, if I don't need the Nismo I would be more than happy with the Exedy. The question is will the Exedy handle the power for daily driving and the occasional spirited run? or is my only choice a twin plate of some sort? Thanks

I know everyone will say that it is way to much boost but I have never seen an R34 including mine run less boost than that. I bought mine with only a cat back and am in fact now running less boost with the computer and full exhaust. Factory mine ran the same and I know of a few other guys telling me the same, when mine was stock it used to hit 1.18 bar as well on occasion. Now with the wolf I have managed to run a perfectly steady .9 bar. So done stress, the R34's just run more boost than the R33 and R34. In fact it may just be coincidence for me but I have never seen a 34 do anything but run minimum 1 bar.
