  4. even though its been said, i hate these cars so passionately from experience that i must tell you they are a steaming pile of automotive crap and I feel we should wage war on zee germans for inflicting us with such horrible devices. they come with a bloody camira motor for f*cks sake. (not all of them you smart arses)
  5. the RS. it goes round corners. i like the interior and exterior wrx like touches. slow in auto but the others are all fwd....
  6. if you are interested in stopping and going round corners dont buy it. if you want a thrasher with potential thats fun to drive and theres nothing better for the price - buy it. its worth less than 10k
  7. want an oil cooler kit for a 25det - with or without relocation. 2nd hand would be nice or cheap new. email [email protected] - ready to buy now.
  8. sounds like axle tramp. pineapples may help (not really sure). rear shocks ok?
  9. everyone whos ragged on the ute/aussie cars - you are what makes this scene look bad. pathetic attitudes. grow up. at least he is out there giving it a go in a car not even set up for it. good on him.
  10. awesome thanks guys, crank is easy got that sorted out, will look for those light marks.
  11. Guys will a 26det cam belt fit a 25det? also, i need to double check that the cams and crank are at tdc. crank is easy, but how can i do the cams. i can pull the cam covers off easily if there are marks on the cams in there, the cam belt is off, and the motor is out of the car. Ive been wondering why this bloody gates belt didnt want to go on and the people have supplied me with a 26det item, could be cams out of phase with crank or wrong belt (or maybe even both). thanks.
  12. room in the back of a stagea sucks balls.
  13. get a wrx or some other turbo sube. grips like a 16yo schoolgirl and the late model ones arent too bad inside. love my dads 03 impreza rs (2.5L non turbo with the wrx guards and semi wrx susp/interior)

    what the???

knore have you driven a lightly modded 34 gtt compared to a 33? 206kw neo motor in the 34. 34 gtt with fmic + pfc + coilovers = a sharper faster tool than the 33.
  15. I have leftovers from my conversion that are taking up space so I'm getting rid of them cheap. These parts are all duplicates I dont need. 1. Autotechnica Monza bucket seat. Cobalt blue, good condition. Comes with lowered R31 mounts/rails done by a workshop which were mod plated by an engineer. (bucket seats sit up high usually, so the lowered mounts bring it back down) $150 for the lot. 2. Momo Thunder leather steering wheel and boss kit. Perfect condition, hardly used, beautiful to drive with. I bought them new, retail was $400 + $60 for boss kit. Sell for $300 complete. 3. Genuine R31 GTS1 LSD. Complete disc to disc, still has original LSD tag on the filler cap. 2 of my friends (1 being the previous owner of this diff) have driven it and its nice and tight. $500 (which is less than getting a 2nd hand centre reco'ed and installed) 4. RB30E motor. Runs fine, clutch crapped itself so it was time for the conversion. $150. 5. R31 GTS1 wheels with tyres - to come, getting them refurbished. Let me know if you want to be on the list for these, extremely rare and highly desireable. Never let me down, ill miss it.
  17. We built it, we built it for years. Look at the sponsors - qld wide bob jane sponsorship. There used to be heaps of events, i had a hand in 90% of them, cant do that forever. take over, make it great, we are just over all the headaches with newbies.
  18. Its actually the same phenomenon with skidpans, SAU QLD = all talk, no action.
  19. Crazy clarkes carpark at Springwood. (arndale shopping centre) Cry me a river, there's the venue, and you've got a week to find it!
  20. 0414868555 Trevor, brake distributors.
  21. There will be a general meeting held on Tuesday 23rd Novermber at 7:30pm in brisbane. Exact location to be advised. Everyone with a paid memberhsip is welcome, and will have the ability to vote for the executives who are making their positions available. No paid membership, no vote. The people who want to be part of the executive should make it known in here, so you can all discuss between yourselves who you want in, and put your respective cases forward. If you are unable to attend, you can vote electronically, we will sort that out. Positions avaliable - president, vice president, treasurer, secretary, the lot.
  22. chaos - seems you are implying that there is something untoward about me opening up the position now that we have launched. Please elaborate we would all love to hear it. strutto - in trying to make a point in favour of me/an executive member being at all/most events, you've actually done the opposite. Yes you expect the president to attend parliament, but do you expect him to attend the local 'young liberals' or 'gold coast city council annual general meeting?' ...... no. I love the dictatorship comment, that is one of the best things i've read in ages. to quote predator : "With people making decisions and others not having privvy to that or how the decisions are being made." What decisions are you talking about? You must be seriously paranoid, as this is one of the most insane things i've heard in a while. We had to stop mountain runs being organised on here, but thats it. I cannot think of any other decision we have had to make like that recently anyway, let alone any that would make this seem like a dictatorship!? When was the last time a decision by the SAU excecutive affected you in a negative fashion, dictator style? That comment is actually quite funny, as all we have done is hook up sponsors, get shirts sorted, get registered as a non-profit organisation etc. What we have been doing is called working and spending money to give you all what you want. Dictatorship.....yep, that Gary guy sure does make a lot of draconian laws and boss everyone around and make life hell...... The lack of appreciation for having access to discounts for brakes, tyres (qld wide), mechanical, parts, and even the purchase of a car as a members so overwhelming, thank you.
  23. I wasn't actually directing the whinger comment at adrian, more the few people in the past who have rarely shown for any event, done nothing, and constantly attacked us. Why am I leaving - I think it's time someone else had a go, personally i think Gary is the man for it, but it's up to a democratic vote. Im getting the membership stuff loaded up tonight after many many tech dramas here at work, got the net going and then sau was down!
